I've been a Verizon customer for about 15 years. My family has had reliable service nationwide and abroad with Verizon but in the last year their service hasn't been so good. Right now, in my home location there is only one bar indicated on my phone, and that's been a daily occurrence which isn't an issue if you have reliable Wi-Fi. I'm getting ready to upgrade my family's phones and carrier so I'm shopping around and reviewing the coverage maps online. Our current phones are a couple of Pixel 2 XL 64GB (updated to Android 11) using LTE and an iPhone XS Max 512GB. We pay for the "Play more unlimited 5G" but definitely need to upgrade phones to make the most of it. I do enjoy the perks of having Verizon with the discounts such as military, teacher, autopay, etc... and some streaming offers but I'm frustrated with the below average service, so I'm looking for a provider with something in comparison but better service. We've also had COX for years but lately have been experiencing a lot of glitches with Internet so we just switched to AT&T (DSL, Internet 50 plan with no contract and autopay discount) until Fiber is available in our area... So far so good, and no daily outages. We had been paying a lot for Internet with COX, but the last 9 months or so the service hasn't been as good of quality like it once was.

I'm on Lincoln and Webb in Wichita. During the last 6-8 months I have had big problems just making a call. It takes forever to connect (if it does) and I've never had so many dropped calls as this before. Almost every call I make that lasts more than a few minutes ends up dropping out on me.

In the past few months the signal has gone downhill, both cell and LTE. Signal seems to come and go, it never used to be this bad so something has changed.

Cell reception at the hospital and nearby treatment center should be much better. Most of Derby has poor AT&T cell reception but the one place it should definitely work very well is at / near a hospital.

Maximum of 2 bars anywhere in Derby. I haven’t had reception this bad anywhere (with homes and businesses) in 10 years. They act like they’ve never heard that complaint and obviously have no plans to fix it.

I've had Verizon for a year now, mostly have 1 bar signal and have yet to see anything above 3 bars. Sister lives near West and Central, still 1 bar, and takes a while to send a pic. Video chat? Never been able to talk more than 2 or 3 seconds. Forget it. Going back to metro PCS. Fast unlimited internet I miss as well.
