Verizon

Have no problems using my VZW phone around Wichita and on the AC plan it also works good in Ks, Ok and TX.

Just switched from Cingular to Verizon and cannot believe the difference. It is like day and night between the two companies as far as reception is concerned.

Just moved from out of state and have had Cingular for the past 6 years or so. I have never had the problem with poor reception and dropped calls as I have in Wichita the first 2 weeks I have had the service. I am getting out before my 30 day trial period is up. I can't see doing this for 2 years! The reception is terrible all over Wichita for the most part, but the dropped calls is the most annoying.

College Hill and the Crown Heights area is the worst area for reception.

Reception fades in and out ranging between three and 0 bars. It is very frustrating to not be able to use the cell phone in our own house. We use our cell phone for all long distance calls but our calls are constantly being dropped or wont go through at all.

This area just sucks for Sprint now. T-Mobile users get full signal in this area now.

If you make a call when you're showing less than 4 or 5 bars, you can plan on it being dropped. As an uneducated customer, I purchased a Cingular Nation plan (GSM phone) only to find out that the coverage map is so limited that it is worthless.

Cingular service on the north side of Wichita is a joke. The digital network doen't cover all of Wichita. Half of the north side of town is on the analog network. Almost impossible to make a phone call in my house becuase the signal is so poor. Had T-Moblie previous, with no issues like this. Have also tested signal from Wichita to Kansas City via the Turnpike, and reception is horrible. Can't stay on the digital side of Cingular, keeps kicking you to the analog network, and the signal strentgh there is practically un-useable.

Used T-Mobile for 3 years. Finally switched to Cingular and never had any dropped calls.
