Never used anything but verizon. 0 dropped calls from Wichita to Colorado Springs. My only complaint is rural areas with analog networks don't permit texting, but I've yet to find a dead zone as far as calls are concerned. Was this review helpful to you?
poor reception, internet PCS rarely works, or kicks offline often.. very disapointing for the money spent. Was this review helpful to you?
I have been with Verizon for about 5 years and use a 4 line family plan. Currently I have no problems with them. I make trips to Salina and McPherson every week and virtually never have a drop out. The reception is clear and the phone works fine. The reason I am on this site is because I am strongly considering the new Apple iPhone. I am a 22 year Apple Veteran and enthusiast. The comments here regarding Cingular are not very encouraging, though. (Verizon - Get with Apple.) Over the years Verizon has finally improved their billing system so you don't have to argue with them every other month any more... Their biggest problem that continues is the messaging system. I tell people to NEVER leave a timely message on my Verizon phone because it might be a week or more before I receive it. The message system is lousy. Was this review helpful to you?
I don't remember ever having a dropped call in the 4 years I have used this service. My calls are almost always clear. Was this review helpful to you?
I have been with Cingular for 4 years and have been reasonably satisified with service. Have been pleased that when I travel to southeast Kansas, the reception has been good for the most part between Wichita and Pittsburg. The family plan with rollover minutes has been good. After reading reviews, may switch to Verizon as my contract is about up.Was this review helpful to you?
Verizon seems to have great service in our area.. I also work in a large metal constructed building near Kellogg and greenwich in wichita Ks. And people with Verizon cell service are the only ones with any luck at all with using their phones in that metal building... ... ... .Was this review helpful to you?
Verizon is superior to Cingular both locally and on the road. I could hardly use Cingular in Western Kansas and Verizon is much better. There are some places that my reception is not as good as others but overall, it is much better than Cingular. Also had Sprint and that was a joke! Was this review helpful to you?
I get good coverage with T-Mobile all over the Wichita area. I have never had any problems with my Samsung phone. I don't even remember the last time I had a dropped call with it. T-Mobile really provides excellent service. Like any carrier, though, you do have to have the right phone. I had 2 Motorola phones that I had to return during the buyer's remorse period because of dropped calls. I have found Samsung and Nokia work the best. Was this review helpful to you?
I have T-Mobile and I get excellent reception just about anywhere I go within the City. I just about always have full bars of signal. I have been very pleased with the service. The only places I have had any problems were in rural areas and suburbs outside the city. Even then, I recvd ok coverage with 2 or 3 barsWas this review helpful to you?
Although the reception is quite good in most of Wichita, my phone goes into digital roaming much of the time. Lately, when people call me, the phone doesn't even ring. I moved to Wichita about 6 months ago, and the problems just keep getting worse. Ever since Sprint merged with Nextel things have been going down hill. I just ordered a phone through Cingular and will give it a try. After reading reviews on here, I am fairly convinced it could be even worse than Sprint, and I will be sending the phone back within the 30-day trial. Perhaps the best solution is to move back to Minnesota or Iowa...Was this review helpful to you?
