Verizon

I have been with Verizon Wireless for 6 years. I switched from ATT Wireless before they were bought out by Cingular. I have been happy with the service thus far. However, since they formally anounced the integration of the Alltel network, my service has dropped SEVERELY. I cannot make phone calls inside of my house, and can barely get service outside of it. I have been told that this should improve in September, but I am doubtful. However, Verizon Wireless will continue to enjoy my loyalty because they treat their customers as such and not as a disposable money bag.

I've had AT&T in Wichita for a year and a half now. Their data coverage sucks in the rest of the state (although I think they finally just greenlit 3G coverage in Manhattan), but the Wichita area is great. I work out in Goddard, and there's a bit to be desired, but I think a new tower has gone online out there because coverage has gotten a bit better.

AT&T works well in my house East of Rock on Meadowlark. I have a work phone through T-Mobile and it has very poor reception inside. My AT&T phone works in many places throughout Derby and Wichita that T-Mobile does not.

T-Mobile is by far the best in Kansas. Been a customer for 3 years very happy. Use to travel all over kansas to install satellites with two other people one was on Verizon, the other on ATT. The boss in Wichita could never get a hold of Verizon or ATT and before long my phone was the only one used to make contact. Now the other installers are switching to Tmobile. Verizon sucks, they charge way too much and they charge for the stupidest little things like transfering numbers, music etc. My girlfriend has it because her parents use Verizon and there has never been a place where she gets signal and I dont we always get the same amount of coverage and we go to northwest kansas and south Oklahoma often. Cricket is worthless to me since their signal goes to 0 as soon as you get to Kellog and 235

I have had no trouble in the Sedgwick, Butler and sumner counties. I am in the outback all the time and I have no trouble with the 2- I Phones or the blackberry 8310. I have to have reliable communication both voice and data with my customers and so does my wife, she's a realtor! Thanks for great service, Verizon was worthless unless you were in town and not in a building. Thanks again! Michael J Paquette The Snappy Trapper

Switched to T-Mobile from useless AT&T and have had no problems with them at all. They do need to get 3G here though because most of the apps do not work that great using the EDGE or 2G speed even though their website says they do. The internet is also slow and very limited on the 2G. It's a waste of time even trying to stream videos from YouTube for example until they get the 3G here. I have figured out that Samsung phones, for some reason, absolutely work the best with T-Mobile. Also, it is a very cheap alternative to other wireless carriers. Beware that the few apps that are available for their phones seem to all require an additional monthly fee so I try to find free third-party apps that will work on my phone.

Switch from AT&T due to lack of native service and roaming. Verizon (now owns alltel) has great service all over the state. 3G data everywhere I go.
