I can't express in words how terrible Sprint's service is over the last year, ever since they "upgraded" their network. I've been using Sprint for many years, and I had nothing but good things to say. A year ago, we started having problems where text messages weren't going through, phone calls weren't going through, data was intermittent. I would call in almost weekly to complain, and all they would do is troubleshoot my phone. My wife and I got new phones in mid-2014, brand new out of the box phones, and STILL have the same problems, so we officially ruled out the phones as the problem (which we knew already, but no one would listen to us). A few months ago, we started experiencing an issue where we would either make or receive a phone call, the call would be ok for about 5 seconds, then there was no audio. The call was still connected, you just couldn't communicate in anyway. I'm going on my 4th time calling and reporting the same issue now, and all I get is the same runaround. "We'll give you a credit and submit a ticket for you." 12 months of the same B.S. The service is GOD AWFUL TERRIBLE!

Sprint phone works everywhere and the data speeds are amazing. I love unlimited data.

Sprint has horrible signal anywhere in Omaha. I cannot even make a phone call because either the call fails or there is bad reception. And there data sucks too. I call Sprint to get some answers and their reply is always the same "towers are down in my area" what a lame excuse. I hope that people drop Sprint as soon as their contracts are over I know I am.

For a city so big you would think that T-Mobile would see this as a gold mine if their service worked here. T-Mobile should be ashamed to make the commercials that they do. After trying T-Mobiles service I now know what the commercial is referring to where the husband did not receive the texts from his wife that broke her arm... with T-Mobile you never receive their texts. Horrible, horrible service! My fav is that T-Mobile tells you that you can use your same cell number but NO you cannot and you have to take number with a different states area code.

Horrible service in Omaha. Missed calls when it didn't even ring and getting voice mails days later from the time caller left message. And with the poor service they want to charge me an early termination fee... . Wtf?

You know, its pathetic to even think about using Verizon in Omaha. I painfully had a two year contract with them until very recently. During those two years I lived through dropped calls, slow and capped internet, and so on. One time I couldn't get on the phone with an important work call because the Verizon coverage is so bad in my home. Since then I decided to try out Sprint. I chose their cheap unlimited plan. I was surprised by its amazing price and how they actually have unlimited (why doesn't Verizon???) So for the last week I've been going different places, work, shopping, my home, and coverage is always great. I have full or almost full bars almost always. I have not dropped a call yet, texts go fast, and the internet speeds are even impressive. Somewhat surprised, considering the stereotypes of Sprint, but don't listen to them. Don't waste your money on a better name, seriously. Sprint offers cheaper plans, and has better service in the area.

Verizon

I own 2 phones from separate carriers. One from Sprint (personal), and one from Verizon (work). Keep in mind that I travel around Omaha A LOT every day with my job, so I know all the dead spots like the back of my hand. With my work phone, the Verizon, I have only had a handful of dropped calls in the last year, and that is usually way out in the sticks. One time I had no service. With Sprint, that is a very different story. Even with the Airvana Airave 2.5+ that was supplied by Sprint, that I pay monthly taxes on (WTF?!?!) I get dropped calls in my home, while sitting next to the thing! However, that is better then when I am outside doing yard work, I have no service at all then. I live on top of a hill, one of the tallest in at least a 15 min drive, and I need an amp to use my phone? What kind of ruckus is this? If Verizon wasn't so expensive, I would totally ditch Sprint for them. Sprint is the worst ever. Go with Verizon... if you can afford them!

I got a free T-Mobile phone from work, so I'm only out room in the junk drawer I tossed the phone. There isn't any coverage anywhere.

I've had T-Mobile for 11 years in Buffalo, NY and I came to Omaha in 2012... .OMG! Did I leave the country??? T-Mobile should be ashamed to make the commercials that they do. Horrible, horrible service! Needless to say my loyalty is over. I tried to stick it out thinking they would improve the service area. I do not want to get caught in an emergency situation (car accident) and not be able to call 911... WTF!

I've been a Verizon customer for 15 years now. I got my newest phone a little over a year ago, Galaxy Note 2. Love it. I got it when I lived in Northwest Iowa, Okoboji to be exact. While I was up there they updated the towers and always had strong 4GLTE coverage. Now back in Omaha, I sit here at my house at 1am with poor 2 bar 3g coverage. Since the last update my coverage here has been horrendous. Some of thelowest speeds I've ever seen. Went to Okoboji 2 weeks ago and had 100mbps d / l and 75 u / l speeds. In Omaha I'm lucky to break 25. I showed VZW the results and they just tell me my phone needs to be "restarted" and should go back to normal... never has. It's getting old fast and it seems like everyone is having thessame issues across all networks. So what's the solution?

My Sprint Spark phone is getting better call quality than my landline and is giving me faster speeds than my high speed internet...

I just got the Boost Mobile phone that runs on Sprint Spark. The call quality is great with no dropped calls! Also, the Sprint Spark speeds are amazing. I took a speedtest and got 75 down and 25 up. I'm happy...

Sprint's coverage is terrible in downtown Omaha. This didn't happen until recently. I drop multiple calls a day (even when outdoors). Sprint's customer service insists that there is no maintnance going on in the area, so their recent upgrade must have made service worst. I have had issues with Sprint's coverage all over Omaha that past several months since they started their "upgrades."

To the person below who said Sprint has spotty coverage, you are a liar! I get better coverage on a faster network with Sprint. Sprint is way better than Verizon unless you like getting scammed with data overages. Sprint is faster more reliable and unlimited!

It's funny how Verizon people say they have such great lte coverage compared to Sprint, but they don't get coverage in their basements! I have 5 bad of lte in my basement with Sprint! The speeds average 25mbps on Sprint and my friends say they only get 5mbps so I will never switch to slow Verizon!

Have had customer service issues with Verizon, (which normally has highest ratings for service). After 3 months of dealing with returned phone issue, and every csr stating "they are going to take care of this issue" I am stuck with unfounded charges. Grade "D" for customer service. Customer for 8 Years.
