US Cellular

5 Out of 5 (5 stars) | 41st St. | Riverside, Tulsa, OK 74105 |

I've had US Cellular service for around two years now, and I have to say I've had zero issues with reception, no dropped calls, and blazing fast 4G service. Their customer service is honestly the best I've experienced. I had AT&T for several years before that and didn't have any issues with service, however customer service was atrocious. I feel like Sprint gets a terrible rep, but they're not bad, at least in the Metro area.

T-Mobile

4 Out of 5 (4 stars) | 91st and Yale, Tulsa, OK 74137 |

T-Mobile is improving rapidly. Previously I would drop to worthless 2G EDGE or GPRS when I drove in any direction away from the city limits. Now, most of those towers have been upgraded to LTE. T-Mobile still has issues with in-building coverage and fringe coverage in rural areas where AT&T will barely cover an area with 1 bar of 4G (T-Mobile will get No Service in these areas) but T-Mobile's much faster network and much better plans make this trade worth it in my opinion. I get the fastest speeds with T-Mobile in Tulsa (Verizon is a near second). If you need fringe coverage for voice (those really really rural areas in the sticks) I would choose Verizon. AT&T, US Cellular and Sprint are poor choices these days. Ranking networks on Speed I would rank them in this order 1. T-Mobile 2. Verizon 3. AT&T 4. US Cellular 5. Sprint Ranking networks on rural and in-building coverage in the sticks I would rank them in this order 1. Verizon 2. U.S. Cellular 3. AT&T 4. T-Mobile 5. Sprint If all things were equal on cost, Verizon would be the best choice but seeing as how they definitely aren't (T-Mobile's plans are a vastly better value) and how hard T-Mobile has been working in this area to improve their network and coverage (especially their rural coverage) they have earned my business.

Verizon

5 Out of 5 (5 stars) | University of Tulsa | 11th and Harvard, Tulsa, OK 74104 |

Verizon has excellent service throughout the Tulsa area. With all other carriers their LTE speeds have slowed with time if you can connect to LTE at all (looking at you AT&T and Sprint). I nearly always have an LTE signal with Verizon and its always fast (6+mbps, usually around 10-30). Verizon has XLTE (AWS, band 4) near TU and I can actually use my phone at the stadium, (even when OU or OSU comes to humiliate us (I mean visit) and the stadium is full), with great speeds. I love the new VoLTE HD voice with my phone. It has improved their call quality tremendously, (which was my one major beef with them previously).

Ever since the 4G has popped up in our area the data coverage has slowed way down. My 3G is much faster than when I am on 4G. I can stream fine on 3G but when I move into 4G coverage I start to buffer to where I just give up on it.

Verizon

4 Out of 5 (4 stars) | Country Club Rd., Tulsa, OK 74137 |

Verizon does not service this area. However, they have a partner carrier who does, (Sprocket Wireless). Sprocket built out an LTE network that covers everywhere near the area with LTE and it is extremely fast (never less than 10mbps and always faster than everyone else). Coverage is great, I get service deep indoors and in large buildings (movie theater at the mall had 4 out of 5 bars of LTE). Sprocket has a great network and while I can't attest to the customer service our price plans (I'm a Verizon customer and have never dealt with sprocket), they can't possibly be any worse than US Cellular's customer service (the absolute worst), so I highly recommend Sprocket if you live in Muskogee and Verizon or Pioneer if you live elsewhere. Between Verizon, Sprocket and Pioneer Cellular, the whole state is covered with LTE for all of their customers.

I have been with T-Mobile since 2006. Never any problems with the service and the CSRs are always helpful. Prior to T-Mobile, I was with Sprint from the late 90s through 2006. There was a deadspot that ran perfectly diagonal as far south as 71st and Lewis, running northeast around Sheridan up through Oolagah.
