poor reception in neighborhood and worse in home, never had the issue with AT&T. Coverage map is worthless. Was this review helpful to you?
never had a problem with my AT&T reception, never a dropped call, never running without reception, I guess AT&T and Verizon are the best service providers in DFW.Was this review helpful to you?
Reception rating is 4 or 5 bars, but calls from inside my highrise condo are dropped on a regular basis. Considering the monthly fees, this is very disappointing. Was this review helpful to you?
Couldnt be any more happier with Verizon. A lot better then Sprint and AT&T.Was this review helpful to you?
I drive from Park Cities to Addison everyday to and from work. I always have 4 full bars, and my data connection stays on 100% of the time. I NEVER have had a dropped call, not even once since I joined verison 5 years ago. I use my phone about 2 hours a day, and still have yet to see my phone say "1X" or have less than 3 bars. I have unlimited data plan, so I always have my messenger program running, and it never logs out, or misses any messages. this is the best phone / service I have ever had.Was this review helpful to you?
McCommas and McMillan This will mirror many of the previous comments about poor service in this area for almost all carriers, but Cingular / AT&T in particular. When I moved to here in 2005 my brother had lived here a while already and had warned me about the spotty coverage, but I didn't understand the scope if it until I saw it for myself... .I haven't had cell coverage this poor -anywhere- since 1998 or before. Bars jump up and down, but they are rarely an accurate indicator anyway. Coverage does seem to be worst at peak usage times, which would validate that the towers and their amplification capability are extremely overloaded. When that happens, every single connection to that tower suffers. Even when calls are connected, they never get better than 'grainy', full of pops and dropped words. Reception is so much clearer at my office (Arlington has better coverage than uptown!), I had to set up separate volume profiles on my phone for home and work. Looking at the tower map on this site, it's clear that there's a large area here with almost no (registered(towers). Bordered by Highland Park on the W, loop 12 on the N, White Rock Lake (or further) on the E, and Lemmon on the S. I don't know if it's zoning or what, but nobody seems to be in any hurry to cover this area better. Was this review helpful to you?
I always get 5 bars in and around oaklawn, Uptown, downtown. Including Central Expressway and Tollway. Only bad areas in metroplex are some parts of Highland Park and all of Hillcrest Ave. from Lovers Lane to LBJ 635.Was this review helpful to you?
This location is not to bad, on top floor of a two story apartment complex and when I had GSM service it was real bad. My new phone CU500 uses 3G and this seems to work much better. Was this review helpful to you?
no Sprint reception in the mall at all - makes it tough to keep track of teenagers! Was this review helpful to you?
