Reception near the appartment complex is below average. Once inside the complex it is poor and inside the appartment there is no reception at all.

Better since the 850Mhz rollout. Get better as you get closer to Proton and Midway.

Everytime I try to call my daughter to let her know I am out in the parking lot waiting for her, the call fails. It takes at least two more attempts to connect with her. My daughter hates her Motorola V300, other than this location my reception is ok - but could be alot better.

3rd floor apartment, no reception inside. Thinking of switching carriers.

New phone with 2-3 bars indoors. Outside reception 2 to an occasional 4 bars. My old phone a Sanyo SCP - 5300 had an almost constant 4 bars even indoors. I compared reception of my existing phone with another MM-7400 and the newer version of the old phone VM-4500 (SCP-5500) and the results were similar. The 7400 indicated 2-3 bars, while the 5500 indicated a strong 4 bars. Call quality on the new phone however, seems to be as good as before inspite of the indicate fewer number of bars. I've been unable to find out from anyone from sprint if the new phone is more sensitive and indicating more true signal strength or the "other" phones (5300 & 5500) are indicating a false stronger signal. Not sure if either is the case, but lack of some technical expertise from sprint can only lead to speculation. One thing I did with both phones was to request an update (PRL Update) that's not mentioned very much, but it's an update in which the carrier updates the phone so that it can utilize the most current info regarding cell phone tower locations. The idea is that as new towers are added to new areas, phones may not automatically recognize this resulting in continued poor signals or dropped calls in certain areas. I recommend calling tech support to make sure that your phone has the most current available update if experiencing major problems.

Same complaints phone get more bars when not in use then when a call is placed reception is horrible sometimes ending in dropped calls. I had friends here with Blackberry, Sony, and Nokia phones and all experienced problems with the GSM service in this area. Cingular better get raising the bar. Real soon.

Takes 5-10 attempts to make a call from inside my home. Hardly ever get calls. Sometimes get voice mail notifications hours after it was left. Also, I work in Las Calinas, where Sprint coverge is sucky at best. Can never get calls inside my building off 114 and Macarthur. And on my way home, off Royal and and Las Calinas Blvd., there is a dead zone where I always get dropped calls. Several friends and colleagues have Verizon and love it... that's my next step.

I get about 2 to 3 (total 4 bars) in my house on N. Macarthur Blvd. Outside the residential area, I get full signal. Also I get steady 2, 3 signal inside of Devry University building on Regent Blvd.

It receives perfect reception over "The Colony" and it also shows full strength of signal nearby on Stonebriar Mall(Frisco, TX). Also on I-35 S. Bound at Valley View Ln. Exit thru Royal Ln.
