AT&T
Reception is very poor in Valley Ranch area. Must be because of the "valley" you drive into. I've called Cingular, they say they are working on it. Funny thing is I can see a cell phone tower from my patio.

I have had great reception in the north Dallas area. I work all over dallas, and the only area I have noticed with problems is just west of Park & Preston. Girlfriend has AT&T GSM... not too pleased with her Samsung phone.

When my phone is not in use I see 3-5 bars but when I use it I find that I juggle between 0-2 bars.

I'm in a first floor apartment and get spotty coverage at best. I normally have to walk outside my apartment to get good coverage. Sometimes it seems that the coverage is better during the day (during peak times). But this might not be true. I generally have to stand in certain locations to get a good reception, and even then it's only one and sometimes two bars. It's odd because when the phone is off, the reception appears to be good. 4 to 5 bars. But once I make or receive a call, it declines significantly. It also seems to depend on which way the phone is pointing, when it's off. When the phone is off, the bars can fluctuate depending on which direction I have it pointed. Overall, I'm dissatisfied with my Cingular coverage in my particular location. In other places around town, I feel like I get good coverage.

My Nextel Motorola i830 drops calls all over Dallas, O have not found a spot where it will work well yet.

Reception in poor when inside of home and when outside you get two bars.

The bars actually fluctuate between none to average. But even while it is showing 4 to 6 bars, the moment you attempt a call, the bars dropped and I get either a "system busy" or "error in connection" message.

I upgraded from AT&T TDMA to GSM due to lower monthly rates and great marketing. I love the features of the phone but indoor reception is horrible, outside is poor in this area but great along major streets. GSM is odd with varying signal strengths over time even staying still in one place. TDMA was rock solid and unfortunately I will have to make the move back to my old phone and network.

No reception over 95% of the time. Also I think the phone has something to do with this because Motorola has bad reception for its T series.

Good service outside, terrible service inside my apt. My friend's AT&T gets absolutely no service whatsoever.
