I never seem to have a problem around my house. No dropped calls and full signal. This is important because my kids need to be able to get hold of me when they are out.

Only 18 months to go... Dropped calls, no call received- just routes to voice mail, several failed text attempts. Nothing like paying too much for so little.

We have been with Sprint for 4 yrs and our reception is great everywhere we go. There is on small area of poor reception where one of my daughters frend lives. I ran like a maniac from AT&T I couldn't even get reception in my own home. I'm happy!

i have been living here since nov. of 2006. perfect reception until 2 weeks ago (current date june 22 2007). something must have changed in the local area. everything in my apartment is exactly the same, but my razr only works (within 3 blocks of my house) 2 out of 5 times. anyone else in 77090 having cingular / att problems?

Nextel sucks. I used to sell cell phones for 7 years and Nextel has and always will suck. Only reason I am with them is because of my discount I get with them. Contract is up in 1 week (thanks God!) and I rather pay full price with another carrier. Shady reception, tons of dropped calls..One day you can have 5 bars at a location and next day zero reception / low reception at same exact location. Constant network is busy / try again later error messages, Nextel is horrible and I will die a happy man once they go out of business. Trust me, Nextel realizes they suck and the only reason Nextel exists is because somehow it became cool by this ghey hip hop generation to use the walkie-talkie feature.

Good reception if you are not indoors. Some calls go directly to voice mail but Cingular does a fair job in this area. Cingular service people are not very helpful in resoving issues with dropped calls when they happen. They act big and it shows.

T-Mobile added a site in this area and my coverage improved greatly. The Waste Management land fill on fairbanks impacts coverage for most carriers because the land fill is so high.

Although Virgin (had) a great prepaid deal (their rates have changed, although I'm still under the old plan), the reception is non-existent at home. Being that we're not all that far from I-45, I was surprised. I've also had a problem in certain commercial buildings in the Galleria area which is another place you'd expect good service. (I've noticed they don't offer a map showing their coverage area.) If you're on the road, especially major roads or freeways, there's no problems. Even though I will probably pay somewhat more, I'll probably be switching to another prepaid service so I can use it at home and because Virgin apparently doesn't offer free minutes with others on their plan.
