When we moved in 2yrs ago was outstanding signal inside and out. Then in December 2006 they started the tower mergers and it totally sucks. No signal indoors now at all, outside is barely 2 bars and drops calls usualy every 10 minutes. More than a dozen support calls and they have the gall to tell me it due to being too close to the tower of all things, causing an umbrella effect on the treo's. I can see the tower from the porch less than 1 / 2 mile away. Its a joke of an answer from them because I go to other towers and stand right under them and the phone works like a champ. Trying to get them to believe this tower here has issues is like talking to the wall. Its so easy to tell where the towers are loacted from there coverage maps, and drive to them. I've tried now at several and same results. I have a Sprint work phone, works great at same place. Wife got fed up and droped her Cingular for a T-Mobile and that's also doing great. I'll probably drop them also but I love the outlook intergration I got going with the treo. Was this review helpful to you?

In the house the service is pityful. Step outside and it becomes marginal. Was this review helpful to you?
T-Mobile added a site in this area and my coverage improved greatly. The Waste Management land fill on fairbanks impacts coverage for most carriers because the land fill is so high. Was this review helpful to you?
Although Virgin (had) a great prepaid deal (their rates have changed, although I'm still under the old plan), the reception is non-existent at home. Being that we're not all that far from I-45, I was surprised. I've also had a problem in certain commercial buildings in the Galleria area which is another place you'd expect good service. (I've noticed they don't offer a map showing their coverage area.) If you're on the road, especially major roads or freeways, there's no problems. Even though I will probably pay somewhat more, I'll probably be switching to another prepaid service so I can use it at home and because Virgin apparently doesn't offer free minutes with others on their plan. Was this review helpful to you?

Sprint has more dropped calls in major Metro areas like Houston. All of the Sprint phones I have had have poor reception and can not hold a call in my home. As soon as my contract is up BYE, BYE, SPRINT!Was this review helpful to you?
