2 Out of 5 Sprint

Beltway 8 | Fallbrook, Houston, TX 77064

Been with Sprint for over ten years. I had really enjoyed my 4G LTE until they decided to go green and improve their network. Now although I am still stuck with paying for an expensive plan, I have dropped calls, calls that go directly to voice mail, delayed text and occasional 3G.

Sprint drops my calls all the time. Data plan is useless. Might as well pay for Cricket Wireless for half the price. You’ll probably won’t notice the difference.

1 Out of 5 Sprint

Fallbrook | Beltway 8, Houston, TX 77064

Reception for calls and 4G data was great until Sprint decided to "Go Green" in improving their network. Now the only way I can get reception is by turning off my 4G and operating on 3G when it is available and working. I have been assured it is not my phone but the Network. No break on the expensive data plan I am on either.

0 Out of 5 T-Mobile

Upper Alief Area | Westheimer and Dairy Ashford, Houston, TX 77082

For the past month coverage in this area has been terrible. There are several times that I am at home that for some reason my phone says it is at 4G and then drops from two bars to nothing quickly. And sometimes all of the reception completely goes away! It is definitely in this area because I spend all day closer in town and I have no issues. The corner of Westheimer and Dairy Ashford always been notorious for dropping service since I've been having a data plan, which has been 4 years at least now. Maybe it is my phone, but it doesn't happen in any other area other than at and around my home. If my issue isn't resolved with T-Mobile in a week I will gladly leave them after being loyal for 10 years.

1 Out of 5 AT&T

Mason Rd. | Westheimer Pkwy., Katy, TX 77450

DO NOT GET AT&T FOR WIRELESS SERVICE IF YOU LIVE IN CINCO RANCH - PERIOD. Have had AT&T since they took over Cingular, not my choice. Started to experience poor signal quality, dropped calls,, etc. about two years ago. Made multiple trips to the local AT&T store for resolution to no avail. I was LIED to by the store personnel that it was a problem with my phone and told I needed a 4G capable phone to take advantage of their tower upgrades. So now I have a iPhone 4 with a two year contract extension AND THE SERVICE IS WORSE THAN BEFFORE. They lied about the tower upgrades as NO NEW TOWERS HAVE BEEN INSTALLED IN THIS AREA. Also, they do not provide 4G service. And I pay additional for a data plan - more money in their pocket to run false ads on TV. The BOTTOM LINE is too many users and not enough towers to keep up with the volume. You also have to deal with MORONS that don't have a clue about the products they sell or what "Customer Service" means, being consistently lied to and contracts that don't allow ANY legal recourse other than working within AT&T's arbitration system - GOOD LUCK! When my contract is up in November 2013, I'll be switching to Verizon. DON'T SAY YOU WEREN'T WARNED!

2 Out of 5 Sprint

Veterans Memorial | West Rd., Houston, TX 77038

I've had service with Sprint since 2004 and never had I experienced such bad data service as I have these last 3 yrs. I truly believe that they have great voice coverage but it's their data 3G / 4G thats hurting their customers. I understand that the are rolling out LTE but c'mon, their 3g data is a joke.. might as well have no data. 3G DOES NOT WORK at all for me, it takes FOREVER to connect. You get what you pay for.

0 Out of 5 AT&T

South of Katy Gaston at Katy Flewellen, Katy, TX 77494

Have lived in our home for 6 years and have o 0 bars in the house ans 1 bar outside if we are lucky. Finally after years of frustration and countless dropped calls we called AT&T to let them know we were done with our contract and were going to another provider. The rep checked our neighborhood out, and said there were a large number of homes around that had microcells, which confirmed there was a weak signal in our area. She offered to help us get a microcell at no cost. She stated the request would have to go through several departments, and after about 10 days she called and said the microcell was approved and we just needed to call their equipment department and order it. She stated our account would be credited the $200.00 cost. We ordered the microcell and set it up. It worked great and for the first time in 6 years we could talk on our cell phone anywhere in the house. A week later we were contacted by another department at AT &T and were told that after further review, we would not be credited for the microcell. Called and complained and was told the rep that instructed us to order the microcell with a promised credit should not have done that, even though the instructions were noted in our account notes. We were livid. Called the rep that gave us the original okay, and she was very apologetic and stated she went through the proper channels and the no cost microcell had been approved and specifically authorized by her supervisor. She was diplomatic, but was clearly frustrated that another dept. Official chose to override her authorization. When my wife told them we were going to switch providers as a result of the horrible customer service experience, we were told to go ahead and switch. So say goodbye to a 14 year loyal customer AT&T, along with our family's 4 lines with data plans. Your loss will be another provider's gain.

I-10 | Grand Pkwy., Katy, TX 77450

I have used Sprint as my carrier since 2001 and had no problems until March 2013. all of a sudden I have dropped calls, cannot make or receive calls, do not receive emails or texts. Little or no "bars"on phone. I'm wondering with the I-10 expansion in this area, is the new construction blocking the tower signals somehow. Sprint better get on the ball or everyone will be dropping their services. FYI- my home computer bars have also been affected around the same time. HELP Sprint, we need some reception out here!

610 / S 59 | San Felipe, Houston, TX 77092

T-mobile sold their towers to Crown Castle so they arent liable for signal issues. When you are a new customer your signal is great and then they throttle you down after some time has gone by. My opinion is that they did something to their network around the time that they were about to make the biggest mistake the company could make and thats teaming up with AT&T. I know that alot of you would agree. I have experience in cell towers and how they operate so thats why I have contacted some of my connections with the FCC and some tested will be mandated on every tower that they claim to have.

Only receive One to Two Bars, I have difficulty hearing and being heard when using my cell phone from my home, whether indoors or outdoors. Very disapponted wit AT&T. They should supply customers with poor receptions with a signal booster at no cost, as I alreadt pay for a service that is sub-standard.

Cinco Ranch Blvd. | Spring Green, Katy, TX 77494

Cell phone service is pretty horrible for the majority of providers in the Cinco Ranch area. My parents have AT&T with bad signal and I have Cricket with bad signal. My boss uses Sprint, bad signal. The problem is not the providers but the fact that Cinco Ranch does not have cell phone towers because they "look bad". Well that's a bunch of B.S. to me. All these people pay good money for their service but Cinco Ranch has everyone wasting money because they won't put up towers. I think there should be a petition for it.

I get 3 of 5 bars on AT&T 4G LTE network using my HTC smarphone. Occassional dropped / missed calls. But working from home even once is too often. I also use a Verizon 4G LTE MyFi which usually connects at 4 of 5 bars. No drops to far. Both are from inside my home on both first and second floor. I do believe AT&T coverage and speed has improved a bit in the area in the last year or two. Verizon coverage has always been good for me around here.

Lately when I'm traveling around the city, especially during my commute on 290 into town, the data reception stinks. I've been wit Sprint for over 10 years but it has gotten to the point that my phone is worthless when trying while on the move. In Dallas, I couldn't even use the map / navigation because it wouldn't keep reception. I had to use someone else's phone to get around. My phone is less than a year old, a Google Nexus by Samsung. When I first got it, it was awesome and I guess this supposed network upgrade Sprint is doing is supposed to fix it. I hope so. Another year of this and a long time Sprint customer is moving on.

Cinco Ranch | Spring Green Blvd. And FM 1093, Katy, TX 77494

I moved to Katy 5 years ago. I had AT&T at the time and would get dropped calls 20% of the time. The phone was constantly switching from 3G to 2G. After 1.5 years of constantly battling AT&T, switching several phones, SIM cards, etc. I paid the early termination fee on my contract and moved to Verizon. On the Verizon network, I consistently get 4G LTE coverage at my location and NEVER experience dropped calls. In some locations around Katy, the 4G coverage is spotty but not a big deal because it switches into standard 3G which doesn’t bother me. Overall, I don’t regret moving to Verizon. They are a little more expensive, but if you’re tired of dropped calls, make the switch.

Been living here since 2010 and have seen no improvement in ATT service area or signal strength. I had no problems in my old neighborhood but had to purchase the Microcel at the Grand Lakes home. BTW, the Microcel does NOT perform to satisfaction. I drop calls routinely, texts take forever to send out and I often wait up to a minute after pressing send to make a call before it begins to ring. With the news of the iPhone 5, I am checking into Verizon.

Reception so poor that I just don't make calls on my cell phone - they would be dropped anyway. The only thing worse than the reception is the customer service. The local AT&T store admits to a major problem in the Memorial area and tries to help, but in the end all they can do is call their service department who will tell even them that service in the area is fine. Can't wait to enroll my family with another provider in the near future.

Moved to brand new sec. 49 of Cinco Ranch. The smartphone I have is useless. Have to get in car and drive 1 / 2 mi for any coverage. Have tried the signal boosters T-Mobile sent, but useless, so returned them. No other options but to change service after 10 years, but no sence paying so much money each month for absolutely nothing. I despise Cinco Ranch, the hillbilly attitude people have and regret buying out here. Believe me my new home is not a dream home, it's an EXPENSIVE NIGHTMARE!
