I get five sticks all the time; except for on the elevators sometimes, and in the basement. Although I don't actually use my phone in the library, because it isn't allowed. :o)Was this review helpful to you?
Switched to Cingular after Voicestream became T-Mobile and they changed my plan on me (even though they claim they did not). Might be regretting the change now as Cingular service is horrible no matter where I am. First phone was a Motorola V220 and reception and clarity were incredibly bad. Read reviews and this phone was rated poor, so spent the money and got an LG 1400 after reading reviews that said it was a good phone. It hasn't helped any. Reception on Cingular is poor all the time, even though the phone shows a full 5 bars. It is hard to understand the person I am talking to because their voice sounds like it fades in and out with a weird digital interference sound. I can be right smack in town, with full bar reception and simply turn my head and lose connection. I constantly have to ask people to repeat what they are saying because they can't be understood well due to their voice dropping out or fading. I get dropped calls constantly and a lot of my calls are to my wife, also using an LG 1400 phone on Cingular. It is not uncommon for us to have to call each other back and forth 2-3 or more times just to have one conversation of several minutes. Another thing that is highly annoying is that Cingular phones interfere with any radio or speakers. If you have your computer sound on, or stereo on, the phone causes loud buzzing noises any time it sends or receives. I have come to recognize certain buzzing patterns and can actually answer my phone before it ever rings. We literally have to shut off all radios and stereos any time we use the phones in our home. Unfortunately, I am stuck with a 2 year contract with this crappy service and the only way out is to pay their fee. I'm sorry I went to Cingular and I would never recommend them to anyone. Was this review helpful to you?
Switched to T-Mobile because Sprint's Customer service reps are just plain rude. When I had Sprint, connections seemed to be good anyplace That I went in Texas, so long as I didn't head out west of Boerne on I-10. In that case service was gone. Now that I have T-Mobile I have a connection almost anywhere. It fades and drops constantly. The sound quality is always poor. It is a connection though. Customer service is really good. The connections are terrible. Was this review helpful to you?
AT&T Wireless (GSM)
Actually, I always get lots of reception bars, but also lots of dropped calls. My old Sprint PCS service almost never dropped calls from the same location (interior of my home). Was this review helpful to you?
I have been with T-Mobile for awhile bt after I moved here I realized that I do not get service at my home. I don't have a ground line phone because I always use my cellular, but now I am stuck in contract with no phone and a high bill. Was this review helpful to you?
Loses signal constantly while inside the building, nearby Verizon tower may be drowning out the signal. Overall Sprint PCS reception in San Antonio is spotty and poor overall. However, even with poor signal coverage, it's still outranks Sprint PCS's horrific customer service. Was this review helpful to you?
Actually a 1 is being very generous, more like 0.5. Pathetic signal especially in around post at Ft. Sam. At times its better to send smoke signals than use their service! I've complained numerous times about T-Mobile's reception - no response. Stay away from tmobile if your stationed around Ft. Sam your just wasting your money. Was this review helpful to you?
