3 Out of 5 (3 stars) | 1604 | Stone Oak, San Antonio, TX 78232 |

Went from a Cingular bag phone (3 watts of magnificent analog power!) and two Verizon phones to a Cingular family plan. It took three visits to make the change. The bill looks like three separate single accounts instead of one family plan. The GSM (I assume) is a buttload of echo and / or delay, and enough distortion so that I have to ask who is calling when my VSOP rings up. The phone has no good shortcuts and you have to follow a long menu trail to do the most common and trivial things - do the programmers actually USE these things before inflicting them on the paying public? Could be a great phone, but jeeez, is outsourcing to the lowest bidder always the best option??

Sprint

0 Out of 5 (0 stars) | FM78 | Mission Hills, San Antonio, TX 78244 |

I had been with Sprint for 4 years on my son's account and on July 20, 2006 we decided to get a phone under our own name and I can't tell you what a nightmare it has been the past 12 days. In the past, I never had a dropped call in 4 years (maybe 2 at the most) and was using my cell phone as my ONLY phone, my home phone, calling on it day and night. Since signing up under my own name on July 20, I have had 5 different phones and not one of them could hold a call. Everyone was dropped and if it did stay connected long enough to complain to customer service, it would cut in and out so bad I couldn't even argue the point with them or explain what was going on. They were rude and not helpful AT ALL. Plus they charged me 67.00 for a 29.99 monthly plan on August 8 and I haven't even been with them 2 weeks! I would NOT recommend Sprint if you live in my area and if you plan on using your cell phone in your home.

2 Out of 5 (2 stars) | O'Connor Rd. | Passing Under the Power Lines, Converse, TX 78109 |

My Cingular is fantastic just about everywhere... even in Old Mexico! There is ONE spot, where O'Connor crosses over 35, headed toward Converse... you pass some power lines and an industrial park on the right... I usually drop calls there. Other than this ONE SPOT, I love my Cingular coverage. I've driven from Texas to Virginia (several times) and rarely EVER fall out of service. One sincerely thankful person who loves their Cell!

5 Out of 5 (5 stars) | Anywhere, San Antonio, TX 78247 |

We have never had a dropped call on our Cingular phone. Not one. bars have been fairly high, however we never need to check because we always connect. We originally had Southwestern Bell Wireless, then were forced to the Cingular, and we have had great sucess. Now that Cingular is owned by a local company, there should be some testing of new services in the area too.

2 Out of 5 (2 stars) | Kentwood Manor Subdivision | 281 / 1604 / thousand Oaks Quadrant, San Antonio, TX 78232 |

Sidekick II with T-Mobile worked fine, no dropped calls. Sidekick equipment failed after 1 1 / 2 yr then I got the new t mobile SDA, horrible reception on this phone. By the way, I should mention that the keys of the SDA are tiny and navigation, messaging, and email is horrible because of these keys. As far as features... it has it all, bluetooth, EDGE, wifi, very powerful little phone, horrible keypad! Doesn't matter anyway, it is going back to T-Mobile as I am in my two week period. BTW, never sign a two year contract, it is a trap!

I'm very disappointed with Sprint service. Frequently dropping calls. Mostly during Sprint to Sprint calling.

In all my years with Sprint, I have never been able to use my cell phone in my house. Our home is in a valley that faces away from San Antonio. I have to go sit outside in order to call.

AT&T

4 Out of 5 (4 stars) | Evans Rd. | Bulverde Rd., San Antonio, TX 78259 |

Reception is generally good except when entering my subdivision (Encino Ranch). The call does not drop; but, it is impossible to understand the other party on the line. Cingular coverage on Hwy. 281 between Bitters and 1604 is bad.
