Sprint
i just recently got back with Sprint and my service is always working good even when I went fishing in the gulf of mexico, I guess the good service really depends on the device you have but I think that the same with all phone companies.

overall decent service however I do always get a dropped call at the I-35 and I-10 interchange. in all fairness I did notice a church down there and they may be using a scrambler. Other than that decent all around town and down the main highway corridors.

Inside the hospital I get no service with Cingular, while I see others using their phone inside, where I assume they use other carriers.

I get five sticks all the time; except for on the elevators sometimes, and in the basement. Although I don't actually use my phone in the library, because it isn't allowed. :o)

Switched to Cingular after Voicestream became T-Mobile and they changed my plan on me (even though they claim they did not). Might be regretting the change now as Cingular service is horrible no matter where I am. First phone was a Motorola V220 and reception and clarity were incredibly bad. Read reviews and this phone was rated poor, so spent the money and got an LG 1400 after reading reviews that said it was a good phone. It hasn't helped any. Reception on Cingular is poor all the time, even though the phone shows a full 5 bars. It is hard to understand the person I am talking to because their voice sounds like it fades in and out with a weird digital interference sound. I can be right smack in town, with full bar reception and simply turn my head and lose connection. I constantly have to ask people to repeat what they are saying because they can't be understood well due to their voice dropping out or fading. I get dropped calls constantly and a lot of my calls are to my wife, also using an LG 1400 phone on Cingular. It is not uncommon for us to have to call each other back and forth 2-3 or more times just to have one conversation of several minutes. Another thing that is highly annoying is that Cingular phones interfere with any radio or speakers. If you have your computer sound on, or stereo on, the phone causes loud buzzing noises any time it sends or receives. I have come to recognize certain buzzing patterns and can actually answer my phone before it ever rings. We literally have to shut off all radios and stereos any time we use the phones in our home. Unfortunately, I am stuck with a 2 year contract with this crappy service and the only way out is to pay their fee. I'm sorry I went to Cingular and I would never recommend them to anyone.

Rarely any dropped calls, usually only when talking to people using sprint... clear reception, haven't had any complaints with Cingular and I've been with them for more than 4 years.

Loses signal constantly while inside the building, nearby Verizon tower may be drowning out the signal. Overall Sprint PCS reception in San Antonio is spotty and poor overall. However, even with poor signal coverage, it's still outranks Sprint PCS's horrific customer service.

Calls are constantly dropped, phone doesn't ring, calls can't go through, voice mail often 2 hours or more after the call.
