Verizon is now terrible in Northeast Austin. I left Sprint when their tower went badly out of tune and remained so, from then on. Now, it appears Verizon is having the same issue. There are no tower climbers based in Austin, and they are in short supply around the country. There is no national certifying body for the profession. "Can you hear me, now?" "HELL NO!"Was this review helpful to you?
AT&T: Horrible cellular signal. Very very difficult for both parties on each end of the cellular phone connection to understand each other. I am in a building with thick concrete walls, but have big glass windows and a balcony. The reception gets only a little better when I stand near a window or on the balcony. No other buildings surround my building, (On top of that my AT&T 4G data plan is effectively 3G anywhere I go in Austin. )Was this review helpful to you?
Lived downtown for the last 3 years and have had 2 different phones in that time and both consistently have had weak signal outside and barely working while inside. I never ask friends to do a speed test in front of me or it makes me want to cry. You would think a tech savvy place like Austin would have better cell service. Was this review helpful to you?

According to OpenSignal app, I am directly across the street from a cell tower, (the Radisson), still can't make a call, or if I do, it will drop the call. Was this review helpful to you?
No reception in house. Minimal outside on porch. Expensive. Will switch providers soon when I figure out who has the best reception on the east side of Austin. Leaning toward TmobileWas this review helpful to you?
Poor to No Reception. Switch to 2g and reception improves sometimes. In general there's poor signal all round when youre on the street between tall buildings and often none to very poor reception indoors. Even on the 12th floor of AMLI ON 2ND facing lady bird lake / farmers market the reception is very poor. Was this review helpful to you?
Service is a joke for such a high rate. As mentioned above I do not see how this guys can be in business. Was this review helpful to you?
Moved from AT&T to TMobile this year because of price. Get very poor reception even in downtown. Cannot use my phone at all during large events - even though all my colleagues and friends phones on other carriers work well. Can't get service between here and Dallas for GPS except right around Waco, and can't get any service when I drive east. Have to use printed maps. No signal in East Texas. Will be switching back to AT&T or to Verizon. Price isn't that big of a discount to have such poor service. Was this review helpful to you?
