So there is an ice storm outside and the Cricket employees haven't showed up for work and I can not pay my bill and it is due and when I call customer service they can't help me but will charge a $65 reconnect fee because there is no one at the store to take my money today, but they will charge me later. how ya like them apples? Was this review helpful to you?
Those people are on fire, for $35 or $45 I get to call anywhere anytime. Since they started providing service in austin and san antonio in august of 2006, the whole neighborhood is going Cricket. GO CRICKET.Was this review helpful to you?
great service but pricey, limited service in walmart or hebWas this review helpful to you?
Cingular signal in Hyde Park area is poor to unusable. Usually one or two bars, but often "No Service." Same problem in the vicinity of Far West and Mesa. Yes, my phone is old technology; however, my next door neighbor has latest technology Cingular service and equipment but suffers the same problems with weak or no signal. Stinks! Regardless, I can't imagine life without it these days, even if it is Cingular. Communication by cell phone is still a comparatively new innovation. It'll get better... the sooner the better! Was this review helpful to you?
Drops calls on Southwest Pkwy. between MoPac and Foster Ranch Road. Was this review helpful to you?
Always poor reception, and constant dropped calls. It is strictly the coverage no the phone or the cell company. Was this review helpful to you?
Absolutely Pathetic - Signal strength 'indicator' seems to follow billboards much better than calls. Cingular's the only carrier I've ever had to routinely drop calls with '5 bars' of signal strength. My guess is that their marketing department has a much better stranglehold on their 'bars' than their towers. Was this review helpful to you?
Daytime reception is average. At times it will work seamlessly, then I'll recieve calls that go directly to voicemail. Night time is atrocious. Calls are bounced because of the influx of "free nights and weekend" callers. It takes repeated call attempts to reconnect. Manchaca road, forget it, usually there's no reception. Was this review helpful to you?
The sound isn't terribly clear, sometimes it helps to step outside the house. I can actually walk or ride my bike around the entire neighborhood and yak on the phone for an hour or so and the call doesn't drop, tho I may have to backtrack to improve reception. I get decent reception on calls around my office downtown near the Capitol also. Still, I'm thinking of trying Verizon to see if I can get better clarity, or maybe someone can recommend a better phone. Clarity is particularly a problem with voicemail, sometimes I really can't hear parts of the messages. As a side note, Suncom (an AT&T subsidiary) and AT&T were great back in the day, once Cingular bought AT&T that was the end of that. Was this review helpful to you?
