One bar most of the time. Periodically no service at all. All hours of day and night. Seems to be getting worse.

I moved here about a year ago from DC and AT&T was the best provider in that area, when we got here 13 months ago AT&T seemed fine, however something has been going on with their coverage in the last few months, we've noticed a incredible increase of dropped and missed calls and slow downloads. I travel around Austin a lot for work and in the last week I've been paying close attention to my signal strength and 3 bars seems to be the average around town, however 2bars is not uncommon. It's gotten so poor that we are looking to switch careers.

Phone calls do not come through and I have dropped calls all of the time. I have one to two bars all of the time. I am 73 years old and need to be able to have calls to come in and more important I need to be able to make calls.

No or little service in and outside my house. Missed calls, call fails etc. Customer service not helpful at all an claimed it was my phone. They sent me to Apple Store to get my phone checked and there was nothing wrong with the phone. Yet they wont do anything except try and sell me a micro sell.

Just ridiculously bad. So bad that I am researching what is going on in the area that is affecting my service. Maybe it's time for a switch from AT&T.

AT&T voice totally unreliable from my 7th floor downtown office. Outgoing calls fail about 50% of time, incoming unintelligible or going straight to vmail. Happening on several other phones in my office, all models. AT&T admits that its overcapacity on voice in this area, has done nothing to fix it, happy for us to continue to pay for no service.

Inside my home near Barton Creek I rarely get 2 bars but usually only 1 and calls drop 90% of the time before conversation ends. Verizon offers to sell me an extender for $150 with no guarantee it will help. They are overpriced as it is and they should be responsible for poor service. The maps they use to sell service shows I should get strong service. I believe they are using deceptive trade practices.

Verizon is now terrible in Northeast Austin. I left Sprint when their tower went badly out of tune and remained so, from then on. Now, it appears Verizon is having the same issue. There are no tower climbers based in Austin, and they are in short supply around the country. There is no national certifying body for the profession. "Can you hear me, now?" "HELL NO!"
