T-Mobile

If you seem to be having problems with T-Mobile Service, you can try several things. Every once in a while every carrier will have network issues, call customer care and see if there is a known issue. If not, have them file a trouble ticket. Also, when getting a phone, stay away from freebie phones, unless recomended by someone other than the sales person. Ask around about reception on certain phones before you buy. Each phone has it's benefits - find one with great reception and service.

I usually get 1 or 2 bars of reception, and have a hard time having a conversation. This is when standing outside. Inside, I get almost no reception. Also, at 51st and Duval I can't get reception inside or outside.

Drops calls "signal faded." Shows 1-2 towers with a phantom 3rd that teases me.

Never had any problems with AT&T TDMA - sounded great. Switched to AT&T GSM and it sucks! Noticeable static on all the calls. Phone says full signal strength but sounds terrible! Switching back to TDMA.

Reception in Travis Heights is awful. In my house, I teeter between 2 bars (rare) and No Service (more frequent). I have walked all over the neighborhood with my phone (from near Riverside all the way down to Oltorf) and I peaked briefly at 3 bars, but quickly went back down to 2 and often 1. GSM reception is horrendous. The last two times I have tried to receive a call outside my home (once in Tarrytown and once just west of Braker-I35), the signal was breaking up and eventually dropped.

Keeps cycling between 1 or 2 bars and No Service, all while the phone sits on the coffee table.

Full signal strength up and down Rio Grande and Guadalupe.

I would luv it if this worked from my home. Good coverage is spotty. I have found that T-Mobile works better in this area than AT&T. For this reason I have my business phones with AT&T and personal phones (4) with T-Mobile.

Only had the phone for 2 days but so far i can not find a place where this phone does not work. A few fades around the barton creek mall area, but no dropped calls.

Almost always show at least 2b, but actual reception is not good. frequent drops, static. I spent more time saying "can you hear me now" then actually talking.
