I live on Tom Green St. between 33rd and 32nd streets, and no one that has AT&T is able to use their phone in my house. Even going outside on the patio doesn't help. The only reason we've been able to get by using iPhones is that we have a microcell, but it has its own problems (cutting out, long delay during calls). I bought a Verizon iPhone 4 when they cam out, but Verizon also has no service in this area. I even called them and they finally admitted that we're in a "known area" of poor service. My wife and I both had Sprint before getting iPhones and we had zero problems. We're considering switching back for Sprint iPhone 4Ses, but we're in contract with at&t.Was this review helpful to you?
Never had any trouble with signal or dropped calls until my phone aged. ie. dropped it, threw it, ran over it, washed it, swam with it... Got a new one and excelent service. Wouldn't think of having anyone else for a provider. I travel quite a bit and go boating, and still got service when all my iphone buddies did not. :-DWas this review helpful to you?
none of the carriers have signal in this apartment complex. however, t mobile has a wifi connection for free that you can use your wifi on and therefore get great fantastic service. when using the wifi connection it doesn't go against your minutes. I believe this is the only carrier that offers this solution. t mobiles customer service is the best I've ever had. I just bought the g 2 x. Great phone. Was this review helpful to you?
Almost no reception at all. Calls are full of static and frequently dropped. I walked around the complex and couldn't get more than one bar. Ironically, I live half a mile from the Cricket Store. Was this review helpful to you?
The reception in our home is very bad, dropping voice. We used to have AT&T before, I will be going back. Was this review helpful to you?
Unable to receive texts from AT&T on the Sprint network after update from Sprint. Called Sprint service and Sprint said they had no means to test or diagnose the problem and attempted to blame their interoperability on AT&T although it was due to a Sprint update. They had no idea what was wrong and were unable to diagnose the problem. Completely incompetent. Canceled contract due to poor service and incompetence. Suggest Sprint users to cancel Sprint, rebel against contracts and excessive charges by providers. Was this review helpful to you?
My phone is useless on campus. Useless. I don't get dropped calls; I don't even GET calls. Internet, weather apps, news updates, sending texts--forget it. When I walk of campus, my phone jingles, and I have 20+ emails, texts, and voicemails. AT&T is worthless here. I'm not sure what I am going to do in this case, but since I have a lawyer provided to me through UT, I promise I won't be sticking with AT&TWas this review helpful to you?
I go to UT and service here sucks. I thought it was just me, but I know a couple of areas that no one gets good service. Seems pretty consistent that all phone companies are making people pay for no service, you're not alone! Was this review helpful to you?
Coverage in this neighborhood is great, but if you live in the 5350 Burnet apartments, you will need to buy a network extender. There is almost no service at all inside the building. This seems to be a problem for people on the first floor, in particular. Before I got a network extender, I couldn't carry on any conversations on my phone at all. Couldn't send texts, either. With the equipment, it's much, much better. My phone's GPS has no idea where I am when I'm connected through the extender, but that's fine. If I need to look up a map at home, I can just do it on my computer. Was this review helpful to you?
When I drive down S. Congress between Ben White and Riverside, I completely lose my signal... both phones. Was this review helpful to you?
