AT&T

I've had AT&T / Cingular for several years. Have had few instances of dropped calls during that time. Works great here.

AT&T Service is horrific in this area. Signal reception bounces all over the place. AT&T says they're spending $2B in 2010 to fix their network. I hope its before everyone goes over to VERIZON for reliable, dependabl and stable service. AT&T should be investigated for consumer fraud, having offered consumers horrific service over the past 24 months.

My Verizon Wireless coverage is EXCELLENT within the 78727 zip code area. I have traveled extensively throughout this area and have never had a dropped call. I've had excellent coverage off W. Parmer Lane near the Dell Computer facilities as well.

Sprint coverage in the Scofield Ridge Subdivision isn't good and is spotty at best. Nextel though seems to work the best throughout the area.

Everything works good for me. Just wish T-Mobile 3G was a little faster

I drove from 49th and Lamar to Capitol of Texas highway and Spicewood Springs road and there was no coverage the entire way. It's cloudy today.

Phone constantly bounces between (E)dge and 3G coverage - shotty call quality at best - and constantly miss incoming calls. AT&T's maps show this to be a good coverage area - what a JOKE! I get better data and voice service with tin cans and string.

Excellent reception and coverage with Verizon. Have traveled all over the country and been able to make and receive calls as well as check email and surf the web in the most remote locations. Coverage in Austin has been flawless for me. I really want an iPhone 3G and am concerned about the majority of bad AT&T reviews. My neighbor has one, though, and doesn't experience any issues.

ATT has in a matter of weeks has gone from excellent to extremely poor; cannot get reception for more than a few seconds at best. What did they do? tear down their towers?

Signal strength jumps from 0 to 5 bars while the phone is stationary. Network jumps form [E]dge to [3G] while the phone is stationary. Calls drop routinely. Inbound calls fail to ring the phone. Inbound messages fail to appear at the phone. Most often, power cycle (on-off-on) will cause "missed call" and "new message" displays for whatever did not arrive the first time. AT&T customer service admitted that this location is "shaded" according to their engineers.
