Signal drops all the time when I am talking at home. There is a single spot in the house where I can get reception and even there it is not consistent. The bars are 0 to 2. Elsewhere it has been flaky as well but not as bad as at home. Was this review helpful to you?
I will frequently get dropped calls. Usually about half of my calls end because it was dropped. I switched to using Skype Out for making calls. Was this review helpful to you?
We had ATT for years and switched a year after the merger because we were told that our reception would improve with Cingular since they were no longer upgrading the ATT towers. What a HUGE mistake that was. Cingular has the worst reception I have ever experieced in the 10 years I have had cell phones. It has gotten to the point where it is almost impossible to conduct business anymore. Constant droped calls, calls that just scramble in the middle of a conversation and the network alway too busy to make a call. I may as well be sending smoke signals. Was this review helpful to you?
It all depends on if I'm inside the building or outside. you can't get no reception if inside the place. that's bad when the weather is bad outside because there is no protection. Going out to Jonestown is really bad, it keeps cutting off.Was this review helpful to you?
We have awful reception in our house and usually have to go outside to use the phone, but sometimes even driving the street I'll lose the signal. Driving down 1431 towards Jonestown I lose my signal 3 or 4 times nearly every day! We had AT&T TDMA for years and loved it. When we first switched over to GSM we could manually select the network to find a tower that worked better, but now they all just show Cingular and are awful. Granted my husband has a Sony Erickson T637 and his reception is better than mine but still loses calls in the house and on 1431.Was this review helpful to you?
Downstairs in my house I get dropped calls or it doesn't ring and then I get a beep that I have a voicemail. Upstairs is fine with 5 bars. Was this review helpful to you?
I get perfect reception at my house in Jonestown. I get dropped calls occasionally when I'm driving around Austin but not any worse than other carriers I've used. My Mom has ATT / Cingular. She got no reception here until after the merge. Now just a bar or two. But still when she is driving from Cedar Park to Jonestown and I happen to be talking to her she always says, "Well I'm fixing to go down the big hill so I'm going to get cut o... ... " I can talk all the way with no problem. I have never had any problems with T-Mobile customer service. Was this review helpful to you?
As soon as I leave work and head North on 183 access, then U -turn at Anderson Mill, I'm constantly losing reception. Also have poor reception at work (Artisan Cabinetry and Design) (Near Main Event). Then there's the 183 fly over to Mopac, lose it there. And of course forget driving on 2222. AT&T was much better with it's reception. Cingular just sucks. Heard it might be my phone (Cingular doesn't support it any more) but there's not another decent phone out there that downloads to outlook and vice versa. Was this review helpful to you?

Ever since At&T and Cingular merged I have had terrible reception at home. I was persuaded to go with Cingular's GSM service - BIG MISTAKE. The receptuion has only gotten worse. The Cingular store claimed my phone was to blame. I should have kept the old phone. Cingular is sadly mistaken if they think their service is ANYWHERE near what AT&T provided. I can be sitting in my living room (not moving) and the bars will go up and down and I can get cut off mid conversation with someone sitting stagnant as well. Was this review helpful to you?
