Lately the service is pitiful. Phone runs very slow including texts that take forever to send. Websites extremely slow to load and at times won't load at all. What is the problem?

Sprint

1 Out of 5 (1 star) | Parmer and McNeil | Parmer and McNeil, Austin, TX 78727 |

Renewed my Sprint contract last Saturday (5 / 31 / 2014) and purchased 2 new I-5 phones. From day 1 have had many problems dialing out and receiving calls on both phones. Alter 3 phone calls to Sprint service and them telling me my network was just fine, I called me Sprint repair center store where I purchased my phone and they told me for the last 5 days they have had many complaints and they have terrible network / tower problems Austin, TX 78727) and don't have a clue when they will be fixed. $170.00 a month for what??? I've been missing important calls, some of which I will eventually get a voice mail only! How should I pay Sprint? I am retired and each penny counts!

Verizon

1 Out of 5 (1 star) | McNeil In Milwood Area | Blackfoot, Austin, TX 78729 |

Dropped calls, unsent texts, poor reception. This in the Indian Oaks subdivision of Milwood, between Parmer and 183, north of McNeil. Similar problem with T-Mobile but that was several years ago. Switched to Verison and it's no better, maybe worse. I will be upgrading my phone and carrier.

Over 20 years at sprint, I have spent hours with their technical folks over the last 6 weeks. The of nly way to stay on the phone without a call failed is to use skype. They decided to send me an air rave, which takes 8-10 days to arrive ? I plugged it immediately upon arrival thinking it would actually help :( nope. Then I got the email saying if I don't use the air rave I would be charged $140. I just thought to myself "dorks". Then thye sent a letter to my office " you will be charged $140 if you don't use your Air rave, which means the accounting department had to discuss the letter and them come to me. Now I am into some serious money for "talking about sprint" and I still have little to zero service in Austin. I hang in there... After all Sprint wants to help with "My" problem. In addition to dropped calls there is a message "you have entered the incorrect number or code. Message 7. Code 2301 - which really a code to tell them the issue and has nothing to do with the number you dial. Now, I have been told by Sprint that my Clear internet is not strong enough to assist the Air rave. Quess who owns Clear now? Sprint. Then I got a bill for extra minutes - for talking to tech support? Customer service said they would give me $50 off the $100 extra dollars? Gee whiz. Add this to charging my company $30 a month for a phone I have "successfully" cancelled twice that I have been letting slide and technically they need a bill from me. I am seriously frustrated and wish I had time to pursue the matter with their top executives. They should just say, "we are sorry our service is not as good in your area as it used to be we understand how important your phone service is and we suggest using another carrier until we can win you back" Wow! That would have been so great. They could put me on the list, call me back and I would have come back whenever they wanted. Instead we have all wasted hours and I still have to find new cell phone and internet service due to "my problem" - gee and I used to be so great at getting service.

AT&T

2 Out of 5 (2 stars) | Northwoods at Avery Ranch | Staked Plains, Austin, TX 78717 |

Had weak coverage from AT&T every place we've lived in Austin. This is just as bad. Considering buying a 3rd party repeater, but I hate the idea of a visible antenna on my roof. (My neighbors probably do, too.) Femtocells are a ridiculous joke-- pay *MORE* money to AT&T to compensate for the crappy service you are *ALREADY* paying for, and they run it over your broadband service, which you are *ALSO* paying for-- and for all that, the minutes you use still count against your PLAN! And all that depends on the stupid femtocell being able to get decent GPS signal!?!? So you have to put the friggin thing by a window, which means if you get any improvement at all, it's only in one corner of the house??!?! F**k you very much, AT&T.

I have had 1 bar for several months. Now, for the past five days there has been no service at all. I have to walk a block away just to make a call.

Sprint map show our house as having full 3G coverage. However, the phones in our house are roaming. Wish we knew who was covering it.

Sprint

Coverage map shows 4g, but 3g barely works. If I didn't have WiFi, the phone would be a brick. Was getting 4g at work near zilker and Mopac, 3g barely works there too.

Reception is poor. Have to go outside to talk on my phone. Has been this way forever. Neighbors have the same problem. We are all thinking of switching to a new carrier. Please fix this problem or we are gone.
