T-Mobile

Had ATT&T and it was the BEST. When they merged with Cingular the quality of cell coverage was absolutely horrible! Switched to T-Mobile. Theirs isn't much better. I can stand in the same spot and watch my reception go from full to non-existant... dropping the call then full reception comes back... .all without ever moving! This happens in several spots around town. Contract is over in 2 months! Thinking Sprint or Verizon at that point.

Usually takes 2 to 3 tries to get an outgoing call to work. Reception is horrible unless I stand near my back door where the quality is tolerable - anywhere else in the house doesn't work at all. The sad thing is I have better reception now than in my last house near Oak Hill.

cropped calls at 360 and Mopac. People tell me I sound like I am talking with marbles in my mouth whenever I talk and drive on Mopac. After 3 treo 650's, maybe it's not the phone, but the carrier responsible for most of my reception issues.

I'm on the old ATT TDMA Network. I get reasonable reception most of the time. UNFORTUNATELY, I am told that Cingular is dismantling this network

I've been on the ATT / Cingular GSM network since 9 / 04. In the past month (7 / 06), the reception on US 290 between Congress and the Travis / Hays county line has been non-existent. Phone shows 3 to 5 bars; calls receive a "we don't recognize your number on our network, please dial 611 for service" message. At the local Cingular retail store I was offered the option to sign for a new 2-year agreement to be on the Cingular network. The ATT TDMA network is being taken out of service. I need a new phone, SIM card and contract to get service. I'll wait 2 months for my contract to expire, and try the TMobile network. I need GSM for service in UK.

Dropped calls and static is the norm. Have never had clear reception inside house, have to move around house to find halfway decent recption. Spot will vary. When traveling we have found that our backup phone (Tracfone Nokia) is not only more relaiable but gets better reception than Cincular. When our commitment with Cingular is over we'er switching!

Cingular Sucks do not get this service. Reception was much better with ATT. Now I know why there is a Class Action lawsuit filed by former ATT customers.

I've had Verizon for six years and have gotton great reception all over austin, in south elgin on 969 and in bastrop on 95. I moved just over a year ago to the cedar creek / del valle area on 2430 / 812 and have horrible reception at my house. Have to stand next the windows facing east or stand in the eastern part of my yard. Also get no reception on certain areas of hwy71 in bastrop and in areas of north elgin. I'm dissapointed with the phone replacement plan. I have to pay $5 for insurance every month and every time I need to replace my phone its a $50 deductable. The past three years I've had a share plan with two phones, they are the primary phones, we talk when we want however much we want and it cost between $94-$97 a month.
