Moved here from DFW area where AT&T service was great. I am lucky to get 1-2 bars anywhere in Austin. Reception has gotten worse over the last 2 years. Now the only way to get reception at home is via WIFI. Called AT&T service, went through all the trouble-shouting protocols and they finally suggested that I might need to upgrade my phones. I find it very strange that both my phones would go out the same day. I confronted AT&T support with that and they agreed. They were no help at all! Based on all the reviews of all the carriers, I think the problem might be with the city of Austin. This is supposed to be a very hi-tec city but it sure has extremely lo-tec Cell communication.

Trying T-Moble was a huge mistake. The "Digits" app is complete garbage, typical of something designed abroad by someone who doen't even use the technology they are designing. Add constant service interuptions and the absolute worst cutomer service (illeterate and just plan stupidin the Philapenes) and you have complete idiocy. This got SO nasty the local T-Moble stone on South Lamar ordered be out of the store. I was tired of being dissmissed by these people. When I refuse to leave they actually called the POLICE on me! After explaing the situation to responding APD, the suggested "why don't we just stay here and watch over things while you try to HELP this man?" Though the issue was resolved that day, the ongoing problems just continued to continue. AVOID T-MOBILE AT ALL COSTS!

What happened!?! I'm from here. I've always had AT&T. It's terrible now! I just went on vacation to Seattle and my friends with T-Mobile never had any issues. I couldn't even talk with my husband at home - he had to drive nearby and said the same thing. He can't have a functioning conversation at home anymore. What the heck!? I always have 1 bar. This is not how it used to be.

T-mobile has great coverage where I live Now doing a update review of the service of T-Mobile. I always have 4 bars or more of LTE in my house and the connection is fast for downloading apps. Always T-Mobile has improve there service where I live use to get 2G Now I get 4GLTE coverage.

Never had reception so bad, but I moved to this neighborhood a week ago and I can barely catch any reception in my apartment and have dropped calls constantly. Even outside of the apartment I have noticed there is no reception in nearby restaurants or cafes.

Have had good experience until they just took away additional data after two years with no warning. Spent many conversations to get them to work with me for extra data until they resolve the issue. Frustrating!

Incredibly poor, unreliable service. I never have more than 2 bars, calls are dropped, calls don't connect, reception is poor if they do, and incoming go straight to vm. It's impossible to use phone for work purposes here. It's like cell service circa 1990.

Lived in Austin a year and half and have never had more than 2 bars with AT&T. Not sure why the reception is so bad in a major city. I've had AT&T for 13 years and only have had an issue in Austin. Never an issue in Tennessee or North Carolina
