T-Mobile

Had a Nokia phone through a family member's AT&T family contract account and eventually got my own phone (LG) through T-Mobile. With AT&T I NEVER had a dropped call, a call that broke up, a text that wouldn't go through, or anything that diminished what I considered really good service. When finances allowed, I decided to go with T-Mobile and experienced the exact opposite in service. T-Mobile tried telling me it was my phone, which I believed. At least until I met others with T-Mobile service in this general area with different phone models but experiencing the same crappy service. I did take one person's advice though by going "prepaid" until I had tried out the service and decided whether I liked it or not. So even though I'm out the $100 for the phone I am at least not in a two-year contract with T-Mobile at this point. So I may well have to put out some money for another phone but I'm going back to AT&T where I know I'm going to get decent service regardless of where I am or where I go. I would not recommend T-Mobile to anyone regardless of how good the price or deal may seem. You will be wasting your time, your money, and deep in debt to Excedrin for headache medication.

Absolutely no coverage in the bus terminal for T-mobile. Switched from Verizon who does have coverage... Bad Idea!

We have been in this area for years and the service has always been poor. We ended up getting a microcell at no cost after many, many phone calls complaining. With this our service has been much better. But another issue we ran into is the microcell only works on a broadband line. i.e. Comcast or AT&T uverse. When we switched to a satellite internet service our cell service went back in the dumps. What to do? Doesn't look like anyone has good service in this area.

We have had a continuous decade-long contract with ATT in 4 states. Was decent coverage till moving to Denver 5+years ago. Service has gotten especially, progressively worse in the last two years. Our area is "riddled" (ATT service rep's words) with homes sent Cisco micro cell units that connect to ATT over the internet. Even with that the calls drop most of the time. 5 or 6 times in 20 minutes is not usual. We are shopping around, but the alternatives don't sound much better. A relative with ATT from out of town came for a family affair and said Denver service is terrible compared to Kansas City area in every way. We have ordered a non-ATT landline number in desperation for a decent uninterrupted phone call at home. We are shopping for another carrier, but the feedback we are getting for our area is not encouraging... no matter which carrier we use.

Sprint's download speeds are absolutely brutal. A 56K modem from 1998 would destroy the speeds that Sprint has in the Denver area. Cell phone reception, which was once relatively good, has turned into dead areas and dropped calls all along the 36 corridor and I-25 from the Tech Center to Downing. I was a loyal Sprint customer for 14 years, but sadly it's time to move on.

Sprint is absolutely horrible. For three years, I've been hearing the lies, like everyone else, that the service upgrades are coming. No, they aren't. I drop 10 calls a day, and have zero bars showing. I'm literally on the roof, two stories up, and I can see downtown Denver. STAY AWAY! I filed a small claims suit, my girlfriends just won $2900 from them and was able to leave to Verizon. NOT PAY THE EARLY TERMINATION FEES! There's so many ways to get out, small claims works great, or file a BBB complaint. Verizon, here I come!

Large dead zone near Presbyterian / St. Lukes. ATT claims it is due to the hospital, but other carriers don't have this problem. Generally, ATT seems spotty around most of downtown.

Called to complain and was told that it is a known dead zone. Often, I cant send r receive texts. Sometimes when I repower my phone they will send. Company told me it is not their fault I live in a dead area and that they would sell me a signal extender for $275. I pay $250 a month for cellphone service, and it doesn't work. I should be able to get out of my contract, but cant.

AT&T seems to work well at my house, though is occasionally slow with regards to data and drop calls (rarely).
