I've been a T-Mobile customer for 12 years. Their customer and tech service has always been great. About 5 years ago T-Mobile started their "upgrading of towers" to improve service. Since then their cell service has been constantly going downhill. I do get very good reception in my house with the 4G LTE booster (provided by T-Mobile for free) that broadcasts over my home LAN. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S4 which has 850 mhz (mega hertz) as the lowest frequency it can receive. The lower the frequency (mhz), the better reception inside of buildings and in rural areas. I was recently told that T-Mobile had stopped using one of the LTE bands that my phone utilized (planned obselesence?). NewerT-Mobile phones can receive 700 mhz on band 12. Only their brand new LG V30 ($800) can use their newest frequency, 600 mhz on band 71. So the bad news is I need to buy a new phone with at least the 700 mhz band 12. The worse news is that many of the people writing these reviews have those phones and their ratings don't paint a pretty picture. That leaves the worst news, buy the new LG V30; however, T-Mobile techs tell me that it will be 18 or more months before Denver will have access to the new band 71 at 600 mhz. So, maybe I just "suck it up" and wait until Black Friday or better yet, 2018 when rumor has it T-Mobile will add quite a few new phones with the 600 mhz band 71. Lived in this location for ten years and the service has always been bad and seems to be getting worse. One circle / bar most of the time, as well as terrible connections with calls. Long time AT&T customer that is going to switch carriers. We live in the heart of Denver; get your act together AT&T - you certainly charge us like you do.Was this review helpful to you?
I have lived in the GM area for 20 years and have always had At&t. The last 4 years my reception has dropped significantly and now I never have any service. I can no longer make calls, receive calls or send texts to anyone unless it's through facetime or imessage. This is ridiculous and not worth the money spent each month for service. I have a booster that helped get come coverage however the frequencies seem to have changed and it no longer helps. I should start charging AT&T for a home phone. Reception at my address is spotty, at best. I've had an open ticket with Verizon since June 2nd, no one ever bothered to follow up with me since then. Working with a technician today I was told "As we discussed, you are in a marginal coverage area. Service in this location will be variable due to your location, line of site and anything blocking the signal. " I was never told I lived in a "marginal" area when I signed up for this service. But, wait -- this was the best thing I was told today "When it comes to service indoors, we are unable to guarantee service. " OK then, time to look for an alternative.Was this review helpful to you?
Dropped calls and unable to use data while inside one-story brick home. Aristo LG is the phone. Believe it's a combination of the phone itself and increased traffic here in Denver. Previously on T-Mobile, which is supposedly what MetroPCs uses, and had periodic similar issues but recent dramatic decrease in usability here in 5 Points. Metro PCS will not give me my money back and will replace phone under warranty, which isn't going to do anything as it's the combination of the poor phone and the coverage. On top of that they will not allow me to exchange and apply to different model / brand of phone because they think I just want to check out the different phones. Tried the cheap way but is a tough one if you rely on your phone to make money.Was this review helpful to you?

half the calls go directly to voicemail. I'm leaving AT&T when my contract is up. T-Mobile has the same reception. I hate to go to a non-GSM service but I am going to have to. I talked to them multiple times and AT&T doesn't care.Was this review helpful to you?
Terrible service! Don't go with ATT in Denver if you're thinking about it. Calls drop all the time, anywhere and everywhere. How can I live in a large city and not get coverage?!Was this review helpful to you?
