AT&T Wireless (GSM)

Reception sucks outside or inside. Can hardly ever use phone when at home. Have had probrlm with Verizon, Nextel and Sprint in this area but ATT GSM has been the worst.

Anywhere between the Botanic Gardens (Where I live) & Lodo (Where I play) I get great coverage with Verizon. Anywhere in the downtown area is crytal clear 1x service.

I have very poor reception at my home in the area near Alameda and Monaco Blvd. I constantly have dropped calls and incoming calls often times go straight to voicemail without ringing. The phone switches between 1-2 bars and occasionally goes from 1x to analog. It may be the phone, however. A friend who visits the house gets fair reception from Verizon with his cheap Nokia phone.

For some reason, the Albertsons on 48th and Chambers in Mont Bello has this vortex around it that cuts off any and all conversations, quite rudely, I might add.

I had a Nokia 1260 that had very poor service in most of aurora including on 225 so I went to the AT&T store next to Sportsman's Warehouse and the salsmen told me that the phone I had was very poor in receptoin. So the Motorola v60i phone would solve my problems. Well 80 bucks later and another year with AT&T, I almost say the reception is WORSE. So I bought the 30 dollar external antenna and adapter, now I only drop half of my calls and usually get another 10 minutes talk time before the phone allows me not to hear the other party and they can hear me just fine. I usually use my roomates Verizon phone and service when available, no problems with that service. Come November I am switching.

AT&T has very poor reception in this area. I am lucky if I get 2 bars on my reception. During a previous snow storm my phone couldn't locate an AT&T tower, so my phone went into roaming mode and it connected up to a T-Mobile tower at a full 5 bars. My service ends in 3 weeks, so it's time to change carriers to T-Mobile!

Although the strength meter drops to 1 bar, you can place, recieve and continue calls on the train. the call will *NOT* be dropped in the tunnel between concourses, even though you're 30' underground. simply Amazing!

Great reception - even in a basement I get 4 - 5 bars.
