AT&T

Just moved to the Springs from Dallas about a year and a half ago - there AT&T often dropped calls where I lived on my iPhone 4, and I thought it was the phone. Moved up here and used my iPhone 4 about 6 months and never had a dropped call. Then decided last spring to get a Samsung Galaxy Note II - had it for 2 weeks, couldn't get service on internet or calls still with AT&T... I took it back and got an iPhone 5 and now I get calls and keep calls without dropping and the internet is flawless out and about. What I would like to know is if there are any services that are better once you get out of the city... we go out camping a lot and it seems other people with Verizon have better service farther into the mountains, etc... is that just a tower thing? Whomever happens to have a tower closest to the area but it could be any of them or none of them? Would love to hear if anyone has great service with any carrier or any particular phone especially west of here in the Buena Vista area...

I live in the center of town at the intersection of Woodman and Academy. I never have more than 3 bars, usually have 2, and right now I do not have reception at all. Lately every phone conversation I have that lasts more than 10 minutes, the call is dropped. I stopped at the T-Mobile store right down the street and also called them... they say they don't see any problems. FYI if you ever travel through Montana, North Dakota or Wyoming with T-Mobile don't plan on having reception at all!

Have been with T-Mobile for 10 years. Since we moved to Southeast Colorado Springs serve has been aweful and have been considering switching to another celluar company but after ready these reviews I'm more confused then ever as to who has the best service. Sounds like their all lousy.

Just moved back to Colorado Springs and have Sprint. Our family cannot use our cell phones inside the house, no matter where we are. We have to go outside to talk on phone, and even then it's only 2 bars at most. My friend was here for 2 days, has T-Mobile and her phone worked find indoors. Called Sprint, of course they say everything is fine with their coverage, must be our phones. Whatever, my phone worked great in Virginia 2 weeks ago. Guess I will have to switch in a few months when contract is up.

I mostly work in the hospital on Fort Carson and there is absolutely no coverage there. After going outside the signal improves, until you drive to highway 115 where it will drop your call. Unless I have an unfettered view in a generally Northern direction, my service sucks. I may have to switch to Sprint since they recently placed boosters in our facility (at their own expense, not their customers). Guess the government doesn't care much for AT&T and won't let them onto Military Installations. Unfortunate.

Stealth ATT LTE today. 3 Bars outside, inside the office is still terrible. Just north of Centennial and Garden of the Gods.

I don't understand how people complain about cell service? Since when has it ever been 100% reliable? For those of you complaining about no reception, blame yourself for deciding where you live. First off, HOA's never allow towers to be built anywhere near their subdivisions so that applies to almost everything north of Constitution. For those of you who decided to live near the mountains, on top of ridges, in secluded areas... .well there's your sacrifice. Cell towers don't give off this magical reception that penetrates through thick trees, hills, or bends all sorts of ways to get to where your house is located. There is a reason why Colorado Springs was ranked second worst city as far as cell phone reception is concerned. I have AT&T and I do get a dropped call here and there but it is to be EXPECTED! If you don't get good service then switch! All carriers are going to have their good spots and bad so obviously shopping around will get you the best service... and when I say shopping I mean shop coverage NOT prices. You get what you pay for.
