Sprint
According to the Sprint store out here, Sprint has been going through the motions of making its network in the springs relevant. Despite some headaches during this network update period, Sprint still has the best coverage out east, wife is on T-Mobile and is roaming the whole time.

Have been dropping calls with Sprint for the last week. Sprint tells me they are upgrading their computer system. They didn't think they needed to tell their clients. Very poor customer service. Thinking about leaving

Near my home by Academy and Austin Bluffs, I get good reception - not full strength but good enough that calls are rarely dropped. Like all carriers, signal strength can go from strong to gone over just a few hundred feet - it's a relic of all the small little hills scattered around town. Signal strength is strong at UCCS, but calls often drop when crossing the bridge at Union on Austin Bluffs.

Very frustrating! I've been with AT&T since 1991 (started out as CellOne, went to AT&T, Cingular and then back to AT&T). I have always loved AT&Ts customer service. I have always loved AT&Ts coverage! Rarely had an issue that wasn't expected - i.e., you know their weak spots and know to be off the phone when you get there. I moved about a mile away a little over a year ago and have had trouble with the service ever since. I have a MicroCell in my home / office and changed phones as well. My iPhone 3GS was great but they blamed it so I went to the iPhone 4S. I love these phones AND it wasn't the phone. I am dropping calls two and three times while on the phone with clients, etc. even when I am not in my home by the M-Cell. The M-Cell strengthened my signal so I didn't have to go outside to get a good signal but I am still having issues here and elsewhere. Sounds like they are all this way. It has changed in the past year. Sorry! Yes, I choose to live here and I haven't had the issues I have experienced since the Waldo Canyon Fire last year. Don't know what happened, but something's changed.

Had Sprint for 10+ years now and loved it... . till about a month ago cant hardly make phone calls, and not only do we not have 4g yet but the 3g has been getting slower and slower to where its barely even useable now. I have contacted Sprint customer service by phone and made complaints on Sprint community but I just get the same old crap about my phone is the problem... . then why is it mine and everybody else I know who has Sprint said the service sucks all of the sudden... why cant they just be honest and tell us whats going on? Maybe switching soon.

Verizon has terrible coverage inside and outside my home in this area. It jumps between 3G and 4GLTE and the signal is usually 1 bar on either one. When I'm on the phone, making a voice call which is neither 3G or 4G the other party cuts in and out and it's hard to understand what they're saying. They say the same about my signal. I'll be contacting them to drop my contract after I've built up enough complaints with them.

Just moved to the Springs from Dallas about a year and a half ago - there AT&T often dropped calls where I lived on my iPhone 4, and I thought it was the phone. Moved up here and used my iPhone 4 about 6 months and never had a dropped call. Then decided last spring to get a Samsung Galaxy Note II - had it for 2 weeks, couldn't get service on internet or calls still with AT&T... I took it back and got an iPhone 5 and now I get calls and keep calls without dropping and the internet is flawless out and about. What I would like to know is if there are any services that are better once you get out of the city... we go out camping a lot and it seems other people with Verizon have better service farther into the mountains, etc... is that just a tower thing? Whomever happens to have a tower closest to the area but it could be any of them or none of them? Would love to hear if anyone has great service with any carrier or any particular phone especially west of here in the Buena Vista area...

I live in the center of town at the intersection of Woodman and Academy. I never have more than 3 bars, usually have 2, and right now I do not have reception at all. Lately every phone conversation I have that lasts more than 10 minutes, the call is dropped. I stopped at the T-Mobile store right down the street and also called them... they say they don't see any problems. FYI if you ever travel through Montana, North Dakota or Wyoming with T-Mobile don't plan on having reception at all!
