Verizon

i cannot make phone calls at my apartment. have some 3g coverage, but unable to make calls. I pay over 180 a month for my cell and my sons. I am not about to keep Verizon now that I am in this area. luckly I am no longer under contract.

Service is horrible I have about 20 dropped calls a day. But then some days only 15. Think about finding another carrier if more towers are not put in this area. If its a dead zone I shouldn't have to pay $250 for a network extender.

Have AT&T for 14 years in this same home, but just in the last. 3 months I get about. 5 dropped calls each day. I just can't understand what the heck is going on. Have I -phone. 5 but told it's not the phone it's AT&T coverage is so poor. Just changed the phone twice in one month even though was told it wasn't phone had to see for myself. AT&T is the worst!

I've been with AT&T since the late 90's. It's no longer the days of analog service, now it's digital and it comes with coverage issues. I have been living in the Rockrimmon area since the early 80's. For the past 10 years, the cell phone coverage has been getting worst with each generation upgrade. I've been very patient and waiting for something to improve over the years. When we had our latest power blackout, reality came crashing down and I notice action needs to take place for better coverage. Since we no longer have a land line connection through Century Link, because we now have Comcast phone service that was on a battery back up. If the power outage lasted too much longer, I was afraid the back-up battery would fail. I was unable to make cell-phone calls because the coverage was so bad here; I always relied on my home phone to make calls in the past. I could not even connect to the 4G network because the service in this area is so poor. It is very frustrating! I know Rockrimmon has this gigantic hill that it probable the cause of poor coverage. However, there should be means to overcome it. A small cell-phone array could be installed on the roof of Safeway, if Safeway would agree. Something needs to happen!

In the City, T-Mobile is excellent. Often 5 bars of LTE service and fast speeds all throughout the city. It's LTE is faster than everyone else. T-Mobile even has LTE coverage in areas like Woodland Park (and AT&T still has 3G all along highway 24, while T-Mobile has 4G LTE!). It's much better than AT&T, which AT&T is BY FAR the worst carrier in Colorado. If you live in Colorado Springs, T-Mobile is the best carrier (and great pricing too).

Wow, yes, Sprint really is awful - and I agree with many of the other reviews on the signal. I have been told for months now that Sprint's horrible reception would be improved and its only gotten WORSE! Not to mention all the other frustrations: a loud keypad tone in the middle of calls, the inability to download voicemails, constant dropped calls, NO signal at my home in Black Forest... it really is sickening how much my family pays for how LITTLE we can actually use our phones. I do NOT recommend Sprint to anyone.

Same problem we had last fall. Phones die overnight. We've checked our batteries and they are fine. Are they working on towers again? If I take my phone into the bedroom for the night (fully charged), by morning it's dead. Last night my husband's phone was fully charged, in the family room, and this morning it's dead. What gives?

Since 4G LTE rolled out around December 2013, i'm loving T-Mobile in the Colorado Springs market! Verizon is basically a poor market area, according to them. Sprint is ok, if your outside or near the more populous parts of town. STILL waiting on LTE. ATT, I honestly dont know.

At the end of 2013 T-Mobile flipped the LTE switch for colorado springs, since then I noticed a HUGE IMPROVEMENT of DATA and call signals in and around the city! I had them before going to Verizon ( which I had no signal in and within a half mile of maizeland that could hold a call). When I spoke to T-Mobile about this they said since flipping on LTE, that signal reaches much further than the old 3g they were using and since they dont have too many customers like Verizon, I'm seeing speeds in my basement that are on par with my home wifi! I was also told that this isnt the end, they are still working on beefing up LTE to the small areas outside the city, like manitou / cripple creek / etc... they even paid my Early Termination Fees for leaving Verizon and paid me enough for my Verizon note 3 that I barely paid 300 for my new T-Mobile note 3 and insurance / Jump ( where I can trade in every 6mo) is just 10 dollars a month bringing my total monthly bill to 95 dollars for unlimited everything! I paid almost 180 a month with Verizon for 4gb of lte that didnt work half the time unless I was downtown! Tmobile in the Springs and Denver is now top notch in my opinion and blows the competitino away!

Sprint has one tower that is on the east side of Palmer Park so consequently, we have one or no bars on the west side of Palmer Park. There are many dead spots around town too. Sprint offered us a free AirRave (Femtocell that uses the Internet) and it works, but causes some problems with texting and drops calls as you leave the house and transition.
