AT&T
I don't understand how people complain about cell service? Since when has it ever been 100% reliable? For those of you complaining about no reception, blame yourself for deciding where you live. First off, HOA's never allow towers to be built anywhere near their subdivisions so that applies to almost everything north of Constitution. For those of you who decided to live near the mountains, on top of ridges, in secluded areas... .well there's your sacrifice. Cell towers don't give off this magical reception that penetrates through thick trees, hills, or bends all sorts of ways to get to where your house is located. There is a reason why Colorado Springs was ranked second worst city as far as cell phone reception is concerned. I have AT&T and I do get a dropped call here and there but it is to be EXPECTED! If you don't get good service then switch! All carriers are going to have their good spots and bad so obviously shopping around will get you the best service... and when I say shopping I mean shop coverage NOT prices. You get what you pay for.

T-Mobile
We signed up for T-Mobile a year ago, because they have low prices, now I know why, 1 / 2 the time I and my family have no signal. We receive voicemails on delays of up to 3 days. I go from my kitchen with 3 bars, to my bedroom with no bars, is this quirky or what? The only thing that seems to work a majority of the time is texting. I can't wait toget out of my contract, this downright SUCKS.

AT&T
With AT&T and Galaxy S3's my wife and I are being told the towers no longer work with our phones. We only have the option for 911 calling and only have web access if connected to wifi. AT&T says all the towers are down and there is no ETA on the fix. They also will not credit us for time down. iPhone 4 I gave my father works fine a block away. What gives?

Sprint
Priced way to high approximately 70% of calls drop or need to be dialed multiple times to get a tower to connect. Voice mails don't show up for days sometimes. Customer service is non existent.

AT&T
Why are there no cell towers on the north and west side of I-25 in Colorado Springs? Cell coverage is spotty at best all over the hills and valleys below the Waldo Canyon Burn.

Verizon
Verizon has dead spots in University Park. There is a directional tower on the bluffs above UCCS that interferes with another tower. Phones will show 5 bars but drop 99% of calls. Verizon took over 3 months to make this conclusion even though there were other reports of problems in this area. They lied, cheated, and stole every step of the way.

AT&T
Excellent AT&T coverage in University Park and most of Colorado Springs. Not bad considering that Verizon is a dead spot where I live and it took them over 3 months and they lied, cheated, and stole every step of the way. T-Mobile also works well in this area, but I've had more dead spots around town with T-Mobile than AT&T.

T-Mobile
I have been with T-Mobile for over 10 years and have truly enjoyed their services. I continually have great overall cell phone service and customer service! I moved to this location 3 years ago and have never had a problem with my overall services, unlike my Verizon and AT&T friends.

T-Mobile
I have terrible reception here. I have 2 bars for t-mobile's HSPA+ (4G) and I literally get poor data downloads. Not sure what the issue is or how I can verify connectivity.

T-Mobile
Right now I have NO Service. I'd like to know why but I can't reach them (T-Mobile) on their site!

AT&T
Pretty Sad. AT&T coverage really sucks - but when I go outside, I see my neighbors with other carriers also trying to find a signal. We pay way too much money for this poor service. I've not upgraded my phone because I can't see paying another $300+ for a phone, and $150+ per month subscription for ABSOLUTELY POOR service. Is there a petition I can sign with other citizens to remedy this?

Verizon
First 6 months of service had 4G LTE 100% of the time at home. The last 8 months I hardly ever get any signal. Same location. No new building structures or telephone poles. He I on states it is only my area but many people I know with Verizon ha e the same problem. None of these people live near my location. I think Verizon must lose the commercials about their 4g coverage because it is definitely false.

Verizon
Never get more than 2 bar signal strength. Frequently dropped call and often get static interference. With all the complaints when is Verizon going to improve the signal strenth throughout the city. Never had a problem with Virgin Mobile receoption.

Sprint
Just moved to Colorado Springs from the east coast. We live on Chimney Smoke Dr. We can make and recieve calls just fine but can't send / recieve texts, check email, or anything else that requires a data connection. Signal level on our phones shows 2 bars.

Sprint
NE Colorado Springs coverage is inadequate for the growing population in this sector. There is a tower near Hwy. 83 and Roller Coaster, which is only 1.5 mile from me. However, Sprint doesn't appear to have eq. on that tower. My closest active tower is at Gleneagle, which is 4.5 miles out.

T-Mobile
Data Service is at 2G until we reach a T-Mobile Service center than it goes up. There is not enough Towers located in the SouthEast Division, specifically Jetwing and Fountain BLVD

AT&T
Had to get a MicroCell in order to make a call, keep a call. Even with that $200 expenditure, it can be "iffy". AT&T has indicated there will be a tower closer to us. First it was March of 2013 and now it's August 2013. Hopefully, that will help. Like AT&T, but if reception continues to be an issue, we'll look at another carrier for that area.

AT&T
Overall AT&T is great nationwide. Overall coverage in Colorado springs is TOO HARD to give an accurate answer. Why? Because you might get full service in one spot and then zero in another. Every single carrier is like that. Every location is going to get different reception. If you are in Colorado springs and get any of the major carriers - AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, T-mobile, etc, you will get good service in general. Just some will have dead spots where you need them the most (like work or home) so you'll think that carrier sucks and assume the carrier that has reception in those two places - your home and work - you'll assume that carrier is great. Not really the case. Because they might get reception if you happen to move and now at your new house it's the opposite. It's all about location... but anyways if AT&T ever where to read this, keep adding more towers! If AT&T does they will have no problem beating Verizon.

Verizon
Verizon is not the nations most reliable network by any means - and it surely is not in Colorado springs area either. I would get no service at my work (in the north part of town, briargate area). My friend who also had Verizon would get no service at his house. I also would not get service when at my friends apt. Now of course it varies by location but I only had Verizon for 2 months and there was 3 locations I went too often and never got service in any of those 3 locations. Pretty bad. My friends who had Verizon had the same problem so wasn't phone related. Overall in this city though Verizon really isn't bad. It's average - Verizon is not the best carrier. It's just a marketing thing. People think that Verizon will have service almost anywhere because of Verizon claiming to be the biggest - yet Verizon gets no service anywhere in the mountains.. Yet even small carriers like Cricket will have service in areas Verizon does not. Overall for the entire city of Colorado springs Verizon gets an overall score of a B. Although since it doesn't work in the areas I needed to use it I am giving it a bad rating. Location, location, location... .

Verizon
I am disappointed in Verizon's cell phone reception in Colorad Springs. Wish I had done more research on this and I probably would have picked another carrier. Verizon advertises they have the largest coverage in the State but their reception is poor. Unless Verizon improves when my contract is up I will select a carrier other than Verizon.

Verizon
I have tried all the carriers and by far Verizon was the Best. With Sprint my data was slow and I ran a 102 dollar data roaming bill as off network usage is 52$ a gig. With Verizon I now have 4g lte speed and it is insanely fast and works almost everywhere. When I had At@t I dropped 10% of my calls or it said connecting. No idea what is going on with that but with Verizon I dep calls far and few between. I don't get great reception in my house but hey I live on the side of a mountain. On the road no one is better. Guess you get what you pay for.

Verizon
Cannot even get average reception outside of the house. It will still drop calls outside. This is with Verizon and Sprint.

AT&T
I live in the Broadmoor area and have suffered through very poor reception. We live at the base of Cheyenne Mountain and have been told that the mountain blocks the signal from the tower. I went to my local AT&T store on Cheyenne Mountain Blvd. near Target and picked up a Micro Cell Tower that boosts the signal through my internet connection. This has changed the reception dramatically; now have full bars consistently. As soon as I leave my house the signal is lost until I get to Hwy. 115. AT&T needs to get a new tower in our area; under the shadow of the mountain.

AT&T
At&t's coverage in the northwest side of Colorado Springs is terrible. At my home in the Rockrimmon neighborhood I have ZERO BARS!

Verizon
My Verizon land line service could not be worse. Many calls I cannot understand the person I am speaking with and many times they cannot understand me. It is so disappointing and I would like to go back to Century Link but I cannot afford to pay to terminate my contract with Verizon. PLEASE HELP! My cell phone works FINE!

AT&T
I see a lot of conflicting information on these posts. I work from home and have no land line... therefore I rely on my cell phone 100% of the time. I've been a customer of AT&T for years, and didn't have issues with dropped calls until this last year. AT&T has really disappointed me as each call I make drops within 3-5 minutes. it's NEVER their fault, and always an excuse. I hate the thought of having to get a land line again (telemarketing) but may have to. Work requires an iPhone... however selecting a RELIABLE carrier is driving me nuts..since i'll just have to deal with a different carriers "issues / excuses" until that contract is up... such a racket!
