I have moved from PA to Phoenix. It used work very good at Harrisburg, PA. But once over here it is spotty and I never got 4g service. I use Iphone 6 plus. Dropped calls, messaging is pretty bad. Basically I can not use phone to its full potential. Went nearest Sprint store, they did some fixes but service is the same. (Even though I am leaving better service reception area as Sprint). No improvement. Above all the service person at Sprint store told me that I should just ignore the bars and other indicators on the phone, (implicating it is phone issue) and jut use it irrespective of whatever service I get. It always 3g or less. I am thinking of moving to some other service providers over here. But looks like every body has similar service or worst. Was this review helpful to you?
Even with a Sprint $200 booster, I have only 1 bar and can never place or receive calls without failure. Totally disappointed and will switch to Verizon. Sprint has been promising more towers for two years now - 4g phone is useless. Empty promises. My son's Verizon and daughter's T-Mobile work fine here. I will be switching to Verizon. Was this review helpful to you?
I knew I would not get LTE at my house, but I can't get a 3G signal most of the time and when I do it is weak. Even in an area with LTE coverage the data connection comes and goes. Voice and messaging are OK.Was this review helpful to you?
Calls consistently cut in and out, or drop entirely. I don't even bother trying to use the phone anymore at my house because the service is so useless. Worst reception I've ever had at this location. T-Mobile was good, Sprint was OK. Verizon is just terrible, thankfullly it works ok at work, otherwise this would be paying for nothing. Was this review helpful to you?
After recently moving here from Atlanta GA, I noticed I had been dropping calls, but this started with a few a day to an unbelievably 6-10 calls per day. After doing some research on cellular towers in the surrounding area of Phoenix I found that Sprint does not have many which may very well be the main issue. My wife would say my phone is fine, but now as of today she has been dropping calls left and right as well. So now we are thinking about switching to TMobile because from people we know here and the reviews I have read they get really good signal here. An added bonus is they also pay your termination fees, if you join and they offer an unlimited everything plan something we were used to with Sprint. I am def going to switch Sprint really sucks here in Phoenix. I was in Sierra Vista AZ and had no problems and that is a military town and they barely have radio stations. Was this review helpful to you?
Sprint is very spotty in this area and while usable - dropped calls are frequent and certain areas of your house will have "okay" signal while others won't.Was this review helpful to you?
Very poor reception in my home with Sprint -- continually drops calls, conversations fade in and out. Was told when I started with Sprint that reception was good in my area and that they were upgrading the towers in my area; that was 1-1 / 2 years ago. From what I've read and been told, Sprint has been lying about their upgrades and switching to 4G for years. I have filed complaints with FCC and BBB but to no avail. Sprint is unwilling to admit responsibility for the lack of service and unwilling to provide any solution. Sprint continually maintains that my problems stem from my device which is an IPhone, although they can not explain, if it is my device, why it works elsewhere. When I originally went to the Sprint store to complain about my home service I was told by the the manager to "buy a new home."Was this review helpful to you?
I am a very experienced in mobile telephony technology and used to test mobile phones (on all major carriers) as well as variious networks for prominent online websites. In the past year, I have moved to the area from the midwest in the past year. While overall coverage in Phoenix is not as good in some other major metropolitan areas, I have found that calls and tests in the greater metropolitan area of Phoenix to be very good with AT&T. Data services on LTE work well when outdoors, but due LTE's frequency, data services can be mixed in indoors. HSPA(+) services work have better building penetration and work much better overall in the area. Using a variety of test methods, I have found AT&Ts signal overall to be quite good, with Verizon's coming in a close second and T-Mobiles to be quite good as well. My test set indicates rather poor performance for Sprint in certain areas and with poor data connectivity throughout the valley. Was this review helpful to you?
Works fine with 5 bar LTE coverage Galaxy Note 2 in most of the Valley but at home I struggle to get 1-2 bars 4g non-lte and wifi does better for data at home. Probably intel plant behind my house is to blame because it can cause interference. Still worth the money. But I can still receive calls and keep the conversation at home without a dropped call ever so at least the most critical function of the phone is trouble-free. No dropped calls yet. T-Mobile rules. Was this review helpful to you?
For the first two months of service with Sprint my phone worked perfectly with great coverage.( after regretfully leaving verizon) I am losing calls, not able to send text messages or use my pandora on my smart phone. I wish I stayed with verizon. this is ridiculous being in a large city and not having coverage to make 1 call without it being dropped. Was this review helpful to you?
