Calls drop in this area of South Scottsdale / North Tempe / West Mesa virtually every time. ATT says this is best 3G, but there is a dead spot with no coverage. Was this review helpful to you?
Never have dropped a call and if I did I cant remember. Excellent call quality, excellent phones, excellent customer service, 6 out of 5 stars. I left for the iPhone but ended up paying the ETF and throwing my iPhone out the window, literally and going back to Verizon. Was this review helpful to you?
Dropped calls left, right, up, down, all around. Signal bars are an optical illusion, you can drop calls whenever and wherever. By far, the WORST carrier in the southwest. Constant network failures, outtages, problems whatever you want to call it. Never, ever, going to get AT&T ever. Was this review helpful to you?
Although pricey, Verizon has given me much better reception than T-Mobile. At home I have anywhere from 1-4 bars but my calls are still always crystal clear. I sometimes have dropped calls but I'm more inclined to believe that they are caused by the AT&T customers on the other end of the line. At work (North scottsdale around 101 / raintree) I always have full signal strength even though I work in a large building with lots of walls. Overall I'm very impressed with Verizon's signal strength and call quality. I'm definitely not impressed with their prices but perhaps the lack of frustration is worth the extra money..Was this review helpful to you?
Just recieved the new Instinct through work and have had nothing but dropped calls and 0 bars with Sprint. Fortunately we kept service through Verizon on an LG VX8300 phone since most of the people we call back east have Verizon. Their service since they added a tower out this way in mid 2005 has been fantastic, never a dropped call. I hope Sprint gets on the ball soon. Was this review helpful to you?
I love Verizon, I get reception everywhere except inside Macy's at Scottsdale fashion square, weird, but amazing coverage as a whole. Was this review helpful to you?
At&t is terrible; at my condo I was lucky to get 1 bar, would have to use my wife's phone. Dropped calls in the 2 weeks I had it. I took it back and went back to verizon. It's a shame because I miss the iphone. Was this review helpful to you?

"Can You Hear Me Now?" Yes I can... this is the most liberating change of service I have ever made... see my ATT post for July 28th. Verizon has yet to drop a single call for me and I've been all over the area east of Central in Phoenix... the most exciting thing is I can, for the first time in nearly four years, use my cell phone anywhere in my residence... Bye, bye ATT... you're just a rotten memory now... Verizon --> you're great, not perfect, but great. Perfect will require more time on line for me.Was this review helpful to you?
Rating of 1 is charitable. I can use my phone at the east end of my table, but if I turn any direction the call drops. This phone is used for business and I find the coverage spotty, at best, throughout the Phoenix area. The East Valley topography is generally flat so the only cause I can imagine is oversubscription. One out of six incoming calls actually ring. I've begun leaving messages apologizing in advance for my probable inability to receive their return call. It's a shame ATT will not invest any of their immense profits into actually making their system work reliably. Was this review helpful to you?
