Don't know why I continue to pay for this cell phone. Can't even use it at my home. Have to leave the neighborhood. Then they want to offer free phone with an extended 2 year contract. What a joke. Both of my daughters have T-Mobile and can't get service at my house. Like I said why continue to pay.Was this review helpful to you?
I live in Tempe on S Dorsey just off of Baseline by Arredondo Elementary and the park. I can't even use my cell phone at home because it drops every single call and I'd say maybe 20% of the time it's "searching for signal". I can't receive calls many times either and when I do, I can't hear the person and / or it drops. We have no landline here and I can't even call Sprint for help because when I have, I wait on hold, then the call drops. I am really sick of the service and there's no point in having the phone when I can't even use it at home. This is unacceptable for my location in the middle of the city like this. Very unhappy. Stupid 2 year contract...Was this review helpful to you?
Sprint STINKS. Just the worst reception, I hate Sprint, I would recommend any one to Verizon. I work in the medical field, most Dr.s and sales reps all use Verizon. Was this review helpful to you?
I have no tried 4 different phones and I can't establish any calls from my house or anywhere in my neighborhood. Was this review helpful to you?
on southern reception is fine, but in the neighborhoods south of it (near walmart and superstition springs area) I get no reception. i've been with Cingular since I liked at&t, but am distgusted with them now. there are plenty of acceptable coverage areas down here for them, but my new house doesn't fall under one of them. can't wait til I can change carriers. Was this review helpful to you?
No matter what phone you use, or what carrier you are with, here's what you need to check if you are in a 'dead zone' while in your house... If you get 'free roaming' on your contract, go into your phones menu and set the phone on 'roam only'... this forces the phone off whatever network it runs on (or is specifically looking for), and makes it search for the nearest tower, regardless of what company the tower belongs to. If you get a stronger signal that way, keep your phone on that setting while in the area... Easy! Was this review helpful to you?
While I have good days and bad days, I generally cannot receive or make calls from the first floor of my house (built in 1994). Outside I'm OK, but inside is hit-or-miss (and usually "miss"). A Verizon rep told me it was due to some interference put out by the Intel plant on the NW corner of Rural and Chandler. Was this review helpful to you?
Sprint finally switched me from a Sanyo VI2300 to a Nokia 3155i and it made a world of difference. If you are having problems with Sprint reception, put your foot down and demand they get you into a Nokia 3155i... it's a much better phone with improved reception and many more features. Where the VI2300 had no signal strength, the 3155i has at least two bars of signal. I am not dropping the calls like I used to. Sprint transferred me over to their 'phone insurance people' and they upgraded me for free after I told them I would be looking for another carrier if I didn't get some kind of resolution to the problem. I received the phone via UPS after just two days. Very happy with the 3155i.Was this review helpful to you?
Every single stinking game with the SUNS vs. LA me and my buddy both who have Verizon couldn't get a signal at either Native New Yorker on DOrsey and Broadway nor at McDuffys on 5th and Ash, near Mill. Yup its the network (crappy) allright. Not to mention that in Coconut Grove in Miami Florida, I couldn't get a signal at my Bro's pad. I stayed there for a little over a week and it is in the middle to south of Miami! Forget about your (crappy) network. Was this review helpful to you?
Reception is so poor I don't get ringing, but the you have messages tone when I come into a strnger area. Calls are dropped, You can't hear the person you called nor they you intermitted. I will never deal with Sprint or Nextel ever again. I have had big problems with both regardless of the phone model. Verizen seems to be furnish the best reception in this area, I don't know about others, but historically AT&T has been poor in Gilbert from Elliot south between McQueen and Val Vista or the eastern city limits. My contract lasts until Nov, but attempts to stop service because of the inability to receive calls, carrys no weight with the provider. DO NOT BUY a Sprint phone if you live in these areas! Was this review helpful to you?
