T-Mobile turned on a cell site which fixed the problem in this area. The service is great now.Was this review helpful to you?
Excellent reception in Ocotillo area for Verizon wireless. Was this review helpful to you?
Poor reception -- 0 bars of reception in the house. The calls go through and I don't get dropped often in the house (although my calls are frequently dropped throughout the Valley), but reception is poor. A friend said if I get a tri-mode phone I'll get better reception from Verizon in this area. Was this review helpful to you?
I just switched from T-Mobile to Cingular. I used to receive 3 to 4 bars with T-Mobile. Currently working with the Cingular Tech Support to see if there is anything that can be done. I was told by one support guy that if the phone is on more frequently then it will not get serviced as often. In other words, its not good to leave the phone on all the time. What does this have to do with signal strength? Was this review helpful to you?
I get four bars 80% to 90% of the time. However I nearly always get a "fast busy signal" when making outging calls from my "home office" location. This is primarily a residential area in Mesa, AZ, but I have a major problem with either the phone or most likely, the Cingular service. When I try to call out from my "home" office using the phone, I hear a series of fast "beeps" (fast busy or systems busy) then I am disconnected before the phone call goes through. This happens about 95% of the time. In checking the signal indicator on the phone, I almost always have three bars or more 85% of the time, with some dips to two bars (almost never one bar). I have had this problem since the purchase of the phone, early last week. Calls made from other locations work without any problem. I have only had a fast busy once in other locations. When I use GPRS / EDGE for internet connections I get reasonably fast transfers of email and web access, independent of the number of signal bars. This is true even when I can not make voice calls. Internet performance is great, but voice connections are nearly impossible. I am located 3 / 4 mile from the nearest Cingular tower, and 1 / 2 mile from an AT&T (Cingular) tower. Several calls to Ceingular support and a vist to the Cingualr store have not resulted in any solution. Was this review helpful to you?
I switched from Nextel to Verizon last December (2004) and I thought that it would be great. But no, I found out my phone was losing power fast and I couldn't hear my boyfriend that well. (I had gotten it to save on minutes; he uses the network also.) Won't say that I get no reception, but the only way I do is to either sit in the kitchen (1-3 bars) or I have to maneuver around in bed or comp. desk to figure out where I can get reception. When I get past hrmm... say Power or Higley, I'm fine. It can be spotty though. And I'm glad I have a land line or else I would be a very lonely being not being able to talk to anyone. I'm not the only one having problems. My mom gets calls dropped all the time too with the same phone and service. Whereas, my dad has Nextel and it works flawlessly for him. I do have to say though, my sister's house is a black hole for reception. Even her Nextel phone doesn't work well. I do wish I had Nextel still, though. : (Was this review helpful to you?
I rarely get above one bar in my house. My calls are routinely dropped or if it does connect the other party can not hear a word I say. My phone changes to roaming all the time. Was this review helpful to you?
Phone calls drop from House. They updated the phone to include the new Tower (which is farther away from the old tower) and reception is still poor and still get dropped calls from home. Was this review helpful to you?
