Sprint

Lots of dropped calls unless I'm on the 60. Sprint coverage seems very poor in the valley.

What a bunch of crybabies. I live in east Mesa, and drive all over the valley on my job, the only poor reception is behind the mountain in Paradise Valley, north of McDonald and Tatum. Everywhere else is good reception all day long. T-Mobile and Nokia work all the time for me. So if you are using a Motorola phone, it's your own fault.

I am currently in the Phoenix area on the Sprint network. My phone is about 2 years old. From my experience, in the major metro areas, on the major highways, the phone is great. However, if you get off the beaten path, forget about it. Even though the phone is cpaable of analog, it is vitually non-existant and useless. This may be with just this particular phone.

I had a Motorola v66, and would have drops in my house, and at work. I got sick and tired of it and finally went to the store and complained about the service. The rep suggested I try a different phone, so I got this Nokia 6610 for a 15 day trial. So far, all my connectivity troubles have pretty much gone away in my house and at work. It's great to be back on a Nokia phone. I must say, however, that when I first signed up with T-Mobile I was able to drive from 60 / 101 all the way up to north Scottsdale without dropping a call. Now, I usually drop once exactly around the Tempe town lake on the 202, but I believe it's mostly due to the massive power lines they have overhead in that area.

Overall Phone coverage not bad throughout the Phoenix Metro Area. Also travel to Sarasota, [spotty coverage] and Philadelphia [no problems encountered]. Customer Service a minor irritation, phone selection below average. Business user - need the coverage of Sprint / Verizon until the Cingular/ ATT merger will bring [hopefully] some GSM competion into the area.

Horrible reception. Called T-Mobile about it and they told me I wasn't in the best place for a T-Mobile phone. So i switched to AT&T and have had no problems at all.

Extremely poor reception. Signal continually fades out. Constant 'searching' for service causes battery life to be extremely shortened. Charger use a must.

GSM network. Has worked ok but dead spots in down town phoenix noticed on 44th and Thomas. Other then that rest of Maricopa county has been ok. Even out past end of US 60 in Superstion. Phoenix Airport tested ok along with San Fransico. the Good news Santa monica beach in Cali. was clear. Since usage from July of 2002 I have never gone into roaming mode. Though I would admit with all cell phones they have there hit and misses.
