if I even think about placing a call underground or in the library, my phone will not even operate. the only people I know that get service in the underground classrooms are people with Verizon wireless. I also lived in an apartment complex near papago park in tempe, az and had to pretty much leave my apartment and walk a few yards in order to get 2 bars. Sprint sucks reception sucks but the phones are awesome. Was this review helpful to you?
Cingular Reception sucks at Kachina Apts. Have to go outside and hunt for a signal. Was this review helpful to you?
Usually vary between 3 and 4 bars. Only ever have issues when talking to my sister (who also has Sprint), but I know all the dropping is on her end. My commute is to Kyrene and Elliott and I never drop calls. Was this review helpful to you?
I consider my self lucky if my call ever goes through. I am even more lucky if it doesn't drop. Was this review helpful to you?
Good Coverage with T-Mobile. Some dropped calls in buildings but good otherwise. Some issues with AT&T overpowering the weak T-Mobile GSM signal and phone showing 5 bars with No Service. 3G has good speed and only sharing with G1's. not much traffic yet. Getting up to 800 Kb / s.. Travelling is a bit spotty. Vegas strip coverage sucks. Awaiting new Windows Mobile Devices for 3G from TMobile. They used to be ahead of everyone, in the last year they have been a bit boring. Was this review helpful to you?
Just purchased Iphone yesterday and I am SO sad. No receptionWas this review helpful to you?
Calls drop in this area of South Scottsdale / North Tempe / West Mesa virtually every time. ATT says this is best 3G, but there is a dead spot with no coverage. Was this review helpful to you?
AT&T is awful in all of north scottsdale and north phoenixWas this review helpful to you?
Although pricey, Verizon has given me much better reception than T-Mobile. At home I have anywhere from 1-4 bars but my calls are still always crystal clear. I sometimes have dropped calls but I'm more inclined to believe that they are caused by the AT&T customers on the other end of the line. At work (North scottsdale around 101 / raintree) I always have full signal strength even though I work in a large building with lots of walls. Overall I'm very impressed with Verizon's signal strength and call quality. I'm definitely not impressed with their prices but perhaps the lack of frustration is worth the extra money..Was this review helpful to you?
Just recieved the new Instinct through work and have had nothing but dropped calls and 0 bars with Sprint. Fortunately we kept service through Verizon on an LG VX8300 phone since most of the people we call back east have Verizon. Their service since they added a tower out this way in mid 2005 has been fantastic, never a dropped call. I hope Sprint gets on the ball soon. Was this review helpful to you?
