Sprint has horrible reception. Never more than a bar or two in Tucson. Dropped calls one out of about every three calls. Most of the time I will not even get a call it will go directly into my voice mail (which will not alert me for sometimes an hour). Not recommended in this area. Also had the same issues if not worse in Southern California when traveling with the Sprint phone. They also charge for minutes they should not be and its hard to catch it unless you add your bill by hand. Was this review helpful to you?
Much worse than I normally get from Vz. The reception was 1-4 bars depending on the terrain, but even with 3 or 4 bars dropped calls were common. Was this review helpful to you?
Daily dropped calls here and elsewhere throughout the city. Been counting the days 'til Alltel contract runs out. When I moved to Tucson 2+ years ago I had Verizon and reception was so clear callers were shocked to hear I was on a cell phone. Was this review helpful to you?
I was with ATT for years and NEVER had a problem of any kind. When I swiched to CRapular there was one problem after another. dropped calls or the line going blank but minutes still accumulating. They sent me replacement hansets for both lines 3 times and it was only the same modle and will not discount another phone for me or will only send me the same modle phone I have been having problems with. After I told them I was going to end my contract if they didnt help me they wouldnt budge. so goodby Crapular! anyone thinking of going with them think again there customer service is terrible! Was this review helpful to you?
Sprint was quite satifactory (not great) when I lived / worked in the N.E. United States. But, now having moved here to Tucson, I find I am frequently cut off. I also experience a high level of call latency (delay between talkers). I'll probably switch soon, but I do have to concede that Sprint does an OK job with the PCS data side of things. In otherwords, I use my phone as a modem and it works quite well for the price. Lastly, signal strength on my phone seems to not be much of a indication as to how well my call will sound. Was this review helpful to you?
No reception problems fixed I can see! I've been with them for five years. These guys are very rude and not helpfull. I drop calls all day as I drive all over Tucson with my current job. I'm stuck because of huge cancellation fees and phones that break forcing me to renew. I'm so glad Cingular is here. I think I will like them better. Was this review helpful to you?
Calls drop everytime at 22nd / Kolb area, also Speedway / Kolb and several places in Sierra Vista as well. Had the Motorola replaced, didn't help a bit. T-Mobile said they would investigate, yeah right. They won't let me out of contract because "it works in your home." They said they would credit me minutes... I don't need minutes, I need cell phone service that works! Was this review helpful to you?
Have a LG-325 / sprint and I need to walk outside to get ok reception. Reception inside is poor at best. Colossal Cave Rd.has a dead spot heading down the hill from the rail road tracks. Old Spanish Trail is not much better with many dead spots. Heard Verizon is better out here. Was this review helpful to you?
My expereience with Cingular in Tucson hasn't been all that bad, pretty consistent fair to good coverage all over Tucson, with some noteable exceptions: weak reception (sometimes) on east Broadway, Old Spanish Trail near Cmno Loma Alto, River near Flowing wells park. But really, overall not bad, and my family, nationwide plan is comparatively inexpensive. Was this review helpful to you?
Moved here from Chicago where Sprint was great - Tucson has little to no reception all around the city. Constantly dropped calls or could get no signal to begin with. Was this review helpful to you?
