To get signal in my area of Tucson, I had to sacrifice my unborn children, burn an offering to the cell phone gods, beat up a mountain, and then, and only then did I get a bar of signal. On a serious note, I do have to walk outside every time I want to call someone, and when I do leave the house that's when I get all the text messages and voicemails my family send me. They usually think I've been kidnapped, but really, how would they know? The police would have to notify them through smoke signals

4 Out of 5 (4 stars) | Park / Ajo, Tucson, AZ 85706 |

Had T-Mobile for 20 years with full bars in this area, no complaints on service or signal strength. Do have voice issues with phone output which I solved with a Bluetooth headset with noise cancellation... the headset (M-Pow M5)

Thank goodness we have wifi calling, actually I really don't know why I stay with AT&T. I am looking to change. AT&T isn't good in Tucson where I work either.

I've been with T-Mobile for 8 years and was extremely satisfied with the wireless service, yet very disappointed with customer support and here is Tucson AZ the stores are contracted out. They're for the most part commissioned sales people with little to no technical knowledge. They are more like car salesman (sorry car sales people) that will tell you what they think will make a sale. Then there's Corp. Customer support, Chat, be ready to have a conversation with yourself. When they do finely answer they're reading off a boilerplate script, in my experience they've been a major waste of time. Then phone support, don't bother unless you happen to speak their language in the Philippines? I have purchased the 8 of my phones about every 2 years and all have been Samsung. 19 months ago I bought a Galaxy s7 edge SM-G935T when they first were released at Tmobile. I had trouble getting any signal in my home so typically like many here they sent a Personal Cell booster, no charge. Then I started receiving Suspicious Log ins, Google, Facebook, Twitter etc from CA to Utah, New Mexico all the while I am in Tucson. After weeks I got to a tech that offered to send me a New Samsung Galaxy s7 edge. Got it and, yes it was a remanifactured device. The same issue. I've been paying for overages on the Unlimited One Plus Family plan approx. $465.00 a month for 4 lines. Never complain until I actually sat down and reviewed every single charge! Do to a potential law suit I won't say the amount, but it's enough that I could have been making a car payment for small vehicle or my insurance. I will get back to you with the details of any future action? By the way, we still can't watch Netflix at home due to buffering constantly. Thanks for your valued time. Bill

Verizon

Although the phone shows a LTE connection, the performance is well below 3G. This has been ongoing for many months, although the area has been growing rather rapidly, Verizon does not appear to concern themselves with this. And if they have their communication is been extremely poor, more than likely due to their arrogance.

No reception in my area from any carrier. Marana High School is four miles away, and the students seem to get signals all of the time!

I just to moved here and upon arrival have only had 2-3 bars exclusively, seems like no matter where I am in Tucson my service is trash. Is there a better provider here?

Have lived here nearly four years. Verizon was good for first two years, but has slowly been deteriorating to the point that it's very hard to make a call from our home at any time. Occasionally works from outside the house or when walking around inside to find a spot with some service but overall Verizon is lousy now! Have heard rumors that Verizon was going to build a new tower as the existing one can't handle the traffic but so far no new tower. This is why we still have land line service and now any call that is important we make over land line and have started to tell family to only call our land line number. In the past we've left voice messages using Cell phone asking for a call back and found it wasn't happening not realizing that the other party was not getting the message or couldn't understand the message due to poor Verizon service. Now we know and always use land line for important calls.
