AT&T

More dropped calls with AT&T in the first week than with Sprint for the duration of my contract (2 years). Should have waited for verison to get the iphone. I won't be renewing my AT&T contract even with the 25% discount I receive from work.

Performance decreased over past two months. Heard it may be due to loss of towers in / near Tucson. Two bars at best in home. Flips to roaming without reason. Even when talking to technical support, they requested another number to use to talk because of poor reception, missed words, dropped calls. Hate Sprint customer service.

I've been with Verizon a long time and reception used to be decent. As of a few months ago now, reception got very poor such that neighbors began asking eachother if folks were having problems. Verizon claimed it was doing some tower work but the situation has gotten so bad we sometimes save making calls until we gt into town. Constant dropped calls, very bad reception and quality. My wife has a New phone and it is no better. Verizon did SOMETHING out here that has really screwed service up. They say they didn't but the change from one week to the next was completely noticable, by many poeple. I am now looking at alternatives.

At UMC, where coverage is important when waiting for patients to come our of surgery, there are zero ATT bars inside, and even outside in front of the main entrance, not enough signal strength to hold a call. This is in any area when many people on other networks are making calls.

Have been a Verizon customer for 7 years. Dropped calls and poor quality has increased significantly since early 2010

I have had Sprint and AT&T in Tucson. In comparing these, I have to say Sprint was the better carrier, but I had to watch my bill with them, and not assume that everything was right. However, I rarely had connectivity issues. AT&T: I ONLY have AT&T because I haven't jailbroken my iPhone, and am impatiently waiting for the contract to expire, or for Apple to license another provider. I used to live at Kolb and Sahuarta, and while they CLAIMED that I could get good coverage there, it was so intermittent that there is no way I could have survived without a landline. Ex: I would get calls, and it would go directly into voicemail, and I wouldn't even recieve notification of the call until I drove into an area with better reception. Kind of negates the point of having a phone. Now that I live in town, I have to periodically update my network settings, as I get kicked out of service for some reason. Also, in general, poor building penetration. Finally, the customer service people suck up to the point where it's almost embarassing to hear them grovel. Don't kiss my butt, give me better service! Come on, end of contract!

I've had T-Mobile for two years now and can honestly say it is the worst cell service available in Tucson. I work in medical sales and am constantly traveling throughout Tucson area. I only get service in one of the hospitals (NW) and regularly drop calls in every part of the city. I have one of the best phones T-Mobile has to offer, the service is just bad. I'm going back to Verizon this month, which has the best coverage in Tucson.

For two years with Alltel we had perfect reception inside and out then two weeks ago - Verizon updated something and now our service is none existent - we have no service inside the house and limited outside. Complained to Verizon - no response.
