Sprint was good enough to send us an Airave for free! Now we get 5 bars consistently at home. But before that we had numerous dropped / missed calls in our house. 2-3 bars is what we get driving in Rancho. Still a few dropped calls per week between my wife and I.Was this review helpful to you?

Shows near full bars but it constantly drops calls. Takes me 7 times to get a call out and its pure luck if anyone can get a call to get through to me. Text messages are always failing to send just like calls taking me 7 times before a text goes through. Texts coming into me sometimes come in hours after they were originally sent. The phone works perfectly fine in Tucson city limits. Unfortunately I entered into the contract months before moving out to Rancho Sahuarita. Stuck with a brick when I get home. PS-AT&T has horrible service. Was this review helpful to you?

I've been with AT&T for years and had no problem with reception until I moved East on Tanque Verde. Now I have zero reception in or out of my home. In the last three to four months I now loose reception on Kolb, Valencia and Wilmont. I have tried to get AT&T to fix or at least give me a reason and all they tell me is that they are working on some of their towers and it could be a while before it is completed. I find this hard to swallow... . I am now checking for a new carrier... .Was this review helpful to you?
Poor reception. Dropped calls and scratchy sounds. I average 0 to 1 or 2 bars from my home. I noticed even on top of A Mountain I only get 4 bars out of 5 and Internet test was slow. Very dissatisfied after 11 months and will probably terminate contract early. I heard that AT&T gives better reception on the west side of Tucson but I am done with smartphones, small screens, slow Internet, additional charges to tether with miniscule GB restrictions. I'm calling BS and going back to Net 10 where I was happier. Was this review helpful to you?
Service for one year. Cell phones average 0-1 bars. Lots of dropped calls. Broadband service terrible. Usually weak Nat'l Access signal instead of EVDO. Download speeds average 100-150 kbps (12-18KBps).Was this review helpful to you?
Have had Sprint for approx. 11 years and overall, have had really good reception throughout Tucson and out of state as long I'm in a big city or intertate. I don't get any reception on Mt. Lemmon or farther outside of town on small roads. I have friends with Verizon who do get reception in Summerhaven and around the Mtn. Also dont get any reception on Snowbowl where T-Mobile and Verizon phones do. I have been pretty satisfied with Sprint even with this old phone and customer service has been fine to deal with over the phone. The Sprint store itself is very unhelpful but have had good luck with Sprint kiosks inside Park Place. If you have any problems with billing / phone, you are much better off calling into Sprint or trying an affiliate location. Sprint Corp store only wants to sell as they lose money spending time helping existing customers if a new customer walks out. I use to work for Sprint. Thinking about changing to Verizon as they have nice phones and seem to have a better coverage area but plan pricing is $60 more then what I have with Sprint family plan. Pretty hard to leave Sprint because I haven't had many major issues aside from a few coverage gaps. Clear as a whistle inside town though. Was this review helpful to you?
In the 3 years I lived in this location, I never managed to complete a call inside my house. I had to stand outside to talk on the phone - and even then I'd drop calls regularly. Awful, awful reception and it got worse when I "upgraded" to the iphone 3g from my dumb phone in 2009.Was this review helpful to you?
I haven't had any problems with dropped calls in over 2 years. Before that it was only one or two per year at the most. A Service Rep told me many years ago, when I got my first cell phone, to always use the area code when making calls (even locally), and make sure people use your area code when calling you. It has to do with the way long distance calls are routed, compared to local calls. Everyone I have told this to has gotten better service than they did without using the area code for all calls. I even had a person email me and say they couldn't get me on my cell phone. I told him to try it with the area code, and sure enough the call came through. Hope this helps! It has proven to work for me and the friends I have told about this. Of course, if you have a plan that charges you for long distance, then it is going to be expensive because each call is logged as long distance. Was this review helpful to you?
