Verizon
I get only 1-2 bars around here with Verizon Wireless. I called tech support, and told them, so they are sending a team out to investigate the area. The tech guy told me there was a tower near by, so they need to investigate further. We'll see how it goes.

reception horrible even though merged Cingular says they have a tower at Pima and Grant. Many dropped calls and frequent decreases in tonality and volume. Using cell as a forwarding number from landline is below average and inconsistent.

Rarely, I can feel confident in Alltel's svc. Rarely. Reception ranges from bad to worse. I've had T-Mobile, Verizon, Alltel and Sprint. Alltel has the worst reception of the lot.

We have four phones of different makes and models and all have poor to no reception in and around the house. Sometimes going outside isn't even good enough to complete a call. Often I have dropped call just driving into the neighborhood.

This is a second phone I have with ATT. Since the merge with Cingular I have very bad coverage with ATT ALL OVER TUCSON. Sometimes I am in my office and the phone rings letting me know I have three new voicemails. I check them and they are three days old, and I just got them three days latter! Two nights ago I took my cel phone and looked at the recpetion bars, and was showing four lines. I took my home phone and called my cel phone and my cel never rang. My land phone got directly my voice mail (like when you have your cell off), but my cell never rang (and again it was on with 3 to 4 reception lines). Cingular... NOT rising the bar!

Reception is very poor in the area with constant dropped calls. You have to walk out of building and roam around to try to get some good signal. The phone shows a strong reception but people can't hear me well and calls are dropped. Since Cingular bought ATT they say they have better coverage but personaly I think it is not good at all.

I have used Nextel, AT&T, Verizon, Alltel, and Sprint in the Foothills area. Only Nextel has a sustained and strong signal verses other carriers. The Foothills are very spotty with cell phones. I lived at the Legends in La Paloma and had 5 bar coverage all thru the inside of my apartment. All my friends who had other carriers barely had one bar. If you live in the Foothills, I would go with Nextel, especially if you use your phone in that area alot.

Reception is spotty in our area. I have to talk while upstairs. The phone does not work downstairs. Sometimes I go outside but still lose calls on occasion. I have had to upgrade the phone software once. I do have the GPS system and software which works most of the time.

Signal strength varies very fast between 0 and 4 bars (with the phone completely stationary and nothing moving) in all parts of the house. In the innermost parts of the house usually 0 - 1 bar.
