Sprint

3 Out of 5 (3 stars) | Coors and Delany, Albuquerque, NM 87121 |

I have to say Sprint has improved on cell coverage dropped calls are decressing and call quality improving data is intermitent ran several speed tests around ABQ some parts of ABq get 33kbps but in my area and work area I'm getting 1.45mbps down.89 mbps u. And work area near montgomery and wyoming I'm getting 2.89 to 3.56 mbps down and 1.89 mbps up which is a.HUGE improvment on 3G data been informed ABQ should see LTE on the east side of the river by mid febuaray to Mid March and the rest of the city and metro area will follow by the Sprint store on coors near i40. Due to this 4g lte upgrade of installing new network vision towers and upgrading and installing new equipment on legacy towers which causes 3g disruption, dropped calls and poor call quality Sprint is giving me and other people on Sprint compesation by crediting my bill 25 dollars which makes my monthly amount lower. Bill has never changed n I've had a 8 / 10 experience with sprint. Will suggest them to anyone just dont get with Verizon they are a nightmare from hell.

I regret leaving Sprint for verizon, I'm getting frequent dropped calls, texts dont go through, and 4g lte is no where to be found near bernalillo, my bill has gone up, I have roaming charges and they wont credit or fix my bill, they said 4g lte will be also in gallup and roswell where I travel I go through dead zones from clines corners to roswell along 285 and i40 from abq to gallup service is spotty. I know one things for sure Verizon DOES NOT HAVE UNLIMTED DATA!seriously 8gb a month and throttle speeds thats not unlimted. Come tax returns porting back to Sprint and leaving Verizon behind! Wont suggest Verizon to anyone! Get Sprint, AT&T or Tmobile.

Our Company recently dropped Sprint. We had over 50 phones that were used throughout NM. The coverage area was horrible! We switched to Verizon and I am happy to say that we have not had any issues and the coverage is great! Unfortunately, my family is still on a Sprint plan due to our contracts. We have been promised by Sprint that changes are coming. So far no changes... ... In fact, I am pretty sure that the coverage is getting worse! Sprint recently shipped us an Airave which helps at our house. As soon as we leave the house, its painful... . Hopefully Sprint picks it up soon. I cannot believe that anyone would support Sprint on this Forum!

I have been a Sprint customer for 5 years. Network reception has gone from bad to worse. Renewed one of my 4 Iphone 5 contracts 5 months ago because the sales person told me Sprint wase finalizing upgrades to the ABQ Cell Towers -DONT BUY THEIR LIES!- Bunch of crooks, that's what they are. :(

My service for the last 2 years has been much worse than people I know with other carriers. 2 to 3 bars usually right in town and sometimes 1x. Sprint has told me twice that 4G LTE service would be active here in the ABQ Metro area in a few weeks but that time has come and gone. Pretyy dissatisfied with the cellulasr service in Albuquerque, NM.

T-Mobile

Great coverage anywhere inside of Albuquerque! And since they've added 4G LTE to the metro area, my data speeds are phenomenal! I honestly cannot believe anyone else would stay on a contract with a carrier that charges them up the wazoo for the same, if not worse, coverage than what I get, AND with unlimited unthrottled data!

Extremely dissatisfied with Sprint. Connection is slow or non-existent. Dropped calls on a daily basis. Tells me I'm "roaming" when I'm still within city limits of Albuquerque or Rio Rancho. WTF?

Verizon service is unusable once you cross Montano to head up to Volcano Vista. We live in Montecito and you cannot make calls, text or use the net. I wish I had another option

I have had Sprint for about 5 years, but when I moved from Missouri to Albuquerque, the service has been TERRIBLE! I use a lot of data on my phone so unlimited data is good. The speeds, however, render the phone virtually worthless. Since the S3 doesn't have a WiMax antenna in it, Sprint's "4G" doesn't work. Most places around ABQ, I can get 3G, but in other places (like driving across Lomas), it's 1x or nothing. I ended up buying a Verizon Jetpack Mi-Fi device just so I can get some use out of my phone. It's stupid that I would even have to consider doing something like that and carrying around a second device with me just so I can use my phone the way it's designed to be used. Not to mention, it's another bill that I shouldn't have to pay. Verizon 4G speeds are wonderful. Sprint, meanwhile, charges $10 / month / phone for their "Superior Wireless Experience" fee. I have never once had a "Superior Wireless Experience" and it is absurd that that's what they are charging every user $10 / month / phone for. I called Sprint to have them take off the $10 fee from our phones. They gave me a 1-time credit of $20, but I still am required to pay the fee every month. Forget watching NetFlix on your device or even a freaking YouTube video. Sprint data in ABQ is the absolute worst. -Rick

I'm picking up LTE once and a while then it reverts back to 3G. A Friend of mine who works for Sprint told me there are testing the towers and installing new ones which is a lengthy process. There is 4G Wimax in the Albuquerque area only in Mid Town,Uptown and Downtown. Speeds are really fast! The 3G has improved and is much faster! I won't go with Verizon T-Mobile or att! Sprint is the real deal! Get sprint! I only get low bars when I get deep into Rio Rancho or bernalillo most of ABQ IS FULL BARS FOR ME!
