Sprint

5 Out of 5 (5 stars) | Comanche and Tramway | Montano and Eagle Ranch Rd. , Albuquerque, NM 87111 |

Finally 4g lte reception along Tramway,I did a speed test and was getting 27 mb download and 9 upload, Amazing! Finally sure signs that Sprint is moving forward. I was also able to get 4g in the area of Eagle ranch road from about Montano Northbound for about 1.5 miles then signal fades, I was able to record about 3 mb download, not the greatest but for now it should only get better. It's been a long wait, hopefully itwas worth it!

T-Mobile

5 Out of 5 (5 stars) | 5151 San Francisco Rd.NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109 |

I had Sprint for 2 and half years and it was the worst service ever! Shoot I'm pretty sure Cricket is better than them. Anyways, I switched over to T-Mobile and I am beyond satisfied with their service. I have 4g lte everywhere I go and their data speeds are fast. Sprint is a joke because back in 2012, I was told lte was going to be out soon and not once have I gotten lte. My calls kept on dropping, texts didn't go through at times, and I couldn't watch Youtube videos or load a web page. I recommend T-Mobile because they are basically the same price as Sprint but they actually have a network that works great! Thank you Tim Tebow for influencing me to switch!

After looking at the Sprint coverage map for Albuquerque Westside, I can see why the service is so bad--there are only two towers covering Cottonwood Mall and south to I-40. Also, there are rumors going around about Sprint upgrading their ABQ service to LTE, but that is not in the forseeable future. Most of what ABQ is seeing now is 3G 'equipment upgrades' which probably equates to installing the newer equipment from the LTE upgrades in other states to ABQ. If you decide to purchase a VM phone or Sprint service, and live on West-side, make sure you keep your 30 day return receipt and note phone and data reliability. My experience has been marginal to bad, but I already spent over $1,000 for three phones, which apparently can't be switched to any other service--even though I paid for them. Arrgh.

Switched from Verizon because of plan cost and data limitations to Virgin Mobile, about two years ago. Initially, VM signal at my house was marginal, but useable. The low signal caused the phone battery to last only a day. When I have been out of town, in Phoenix or San Francisco, the Sprint network there is great, and the phone battery lasts two to three days. In the last few months, phone coverage on the West side has gotten substantially worse. There are times when phone just won't work from my house at all. The phone might show 3 or 4 bars, but it won't connect a call. Not sure what is going on. Hopefully, Sprint is in the process of upgrading towers to LTE, which is the rumor. Not going to stick with VM, which has a 'reasonable' cost for 300 minutes talk, and unlimited text and data for $30 / mo, much longer if service doesn't get better.

T-Mobile

T-Mobile is the WORST! I tried calling 911 three times to report a dangerous situation on the interstate. I had 4 bars and the first 2 calls to 911 were dropped. I called T-Mobile to file a complaint and find out what was wrong and they were useless. I finally had to file a complaint with the FCC. That says it all!

Sprint

4 Out of 5 (4 stars) | Paseo and I25, Albuquerque, NM 87109 |

Switched from Verizon to Sprint kinda of a downgrade but overall my bill is lower, I HAVE TRULY UNLIMTED DATA!😄3G is ok in ABQ not gonna say its perfect but its great, some dropped calls and text issues but in general I see people having issues with Sprint I really dont see how they can be???? I really have to say Sprint is much brighter than expected.

Verizon

1 Out of 5 (1 star) | Downtown Abq, Albuquerque, NM 87107 |

I regret leaving Sprint for verizon, I'm getting frequent dropped calls, texts dont go through, and 4g lte is no where to be found near bernalillo, my bill has gone up, I have roaming charges and they wont credit or fix my bill, they said 4g lte will be also in gallup and roswell where I travel I go through dead zones from clines corners to roswell along 285 and i40 from abq to gallup service is spotty. I know one things for sure Verizon DOES NOT HAVE UNLIMTED DATA!seriously 8gb a month and throttle speeds thats not unlimted. Come tax returns porting back to Sprint and leaving Verizon behind! Wont suggest Verizon to anyone! Get Sprint, AT&T or Tmobile.

Our Company recently dropped Sprint. We had over 50 phones that were used throughout NM. The coverage area was horrible! We switched to Verizon and I am happy to say that we have not had any issues and the coverage is great! Unfortunately, my family is still on a Sprint plan due to our contracts. We have been promised by Sprint that changes are coming. So far no changes... ... In fact, I am pretty sure that the coverage is getting worse! Sprint recently shipped us an Airave which helps at our house. As soon as we leave the house, its painful... . Hopefully Sprint picks it up soon. I cannot believe that anyone would support Sprint on this Forum!

Sprint

2 Out of 5 (2 stars) | Cottonwood Mall Area, Albuquerque, NM 87114 |

My service for the last 2 years has been much worse than people I know with other carriers. 2 to 3 bars usually right in town and sometimes 1x. Sprint has told me twice that 4G LTE service would be active here in the ABQ Metro area in a few weeks but that time has come and gone. Pretyy dissatisfied with the cellulasr service in Albuquerque, NM.

T-Mobile

Great coverage anywhere inside of Albuquerque! And since they've added 4G LTE to the metro area, my data speeds are phenomenal! I honestly cannot believe anyone else would stay on a contract with a carrier that charges them up the wazoo for the same, if not worse, coverage than what I get, AND with unlimited unthrottled data!
