Sprint has got the Silver Lake area covered. There customer service has improved so much over the past two years. They are the only company besides Verizon that use CDMA (instead of the primative GSM system) in the PCS frequency. I get the clearest calls, it sounds like im using a land line phone. This company is so advanced in terms of technology. They have the fastest internet on your phone. And I can connect my phone to my computer using a cable I bought and get FREE High Speed wireless internet acces while im traveling! All the spots that my friends say there is no service, Sprint has got it. The ONLY place there is no service is around the Silver Lake Reservoir. I called them to report it and they said they are working to get coverage there. The lady said that on her computer it says they are running into community and city property issues to install cell phone tower right next to the Reservoir. Was this review helpful to you?
It never works in the rain, but it seems to be okay on sunny days. Was this review helpful to you?
Driving on Griffith Park Blvd. from Los Feliz Blvd. toward Rowena Ave. I always get dropped. Now that AT&T is part of the picture, you'll usually get a signal about 30 seconds later in the exact same spot. The dropping is very frustrating since I travel this area a lot. Cingular needs to spend some money in the Silverlake / Los Feliz area. It's very difficult to hold an unbroken conversation is this area. Was this review helpful to you?
Constantly get dropped on Rowena Av between Hyperion Ave. and Glendale Blvd. This is a very heavily travelled Blvd. I would think that Cingular would spend some bucks here. All around the North end of Silverlake Resevoir is bad to non exsistant. I so wish they would fix this dead spot. Was this review helpful to you?
Just switched over to Cingular under the ATT merger. Reception with ATT was non-existent in certain sections of Miracle Mile area, and the reception has NOT improved under Cingular. Dropped calls and very spotty service are the norm, and I can no longer use my phone for business purposes. My girlfriend's Verizon service works very well in almost every area of metro Los Angeles, including the Miracle Mile area. Was this review helpful to you?
I'm lucky if my phone rings ever. Forget trying to place a call from here to Fairfax / Sunset, or east towards Gardener. Total dead area, and it is an busy and well travelled area. Verizon works everywhere else when my friends phones don't. Just not at home or in the neighborhood. Sprint PCS was worse, barely worked anywhere. Sprint even didn't work on Ventura Blvd. in front of their billboard that claims "now with expanded coverage in LA". And Sprint has the worst customer service I have ever dealt with, ever. Verizon is the best, and I've had them all. I just wish it would work at home so I could cancel my land line. Was this review helpful to you?
T-Mobile gets either no reception or at best, poor reception north of Franklin. I had decent reception here with Verizon. Looks like I will be going back to Verizon with tail between legs. I didn't like the sound of Verizon, but at least I could connect with no drop-outs.Was this review helpful to you?
The 7135 gets better reception than my old Motorola StarTac.Was this review helpful to you?
The reception is okay (i.e., the sound is good) and I have no trouble making calls, but I'm not receiving some of my calls! Sometimes my phone doesn't ring at all, I get no "missed call" indicator, but I get a voice mail alert. (And no, they were not just sending / forwarding me a voice mail without calling.) Sometimes I don't even get a voice mail alert, and only found out they called when I check my voice mail later, after someone else had called. I've had T-Mobile for a month now, and it's happened about 6 times already, both to me and my husband (he has a Samsung SGH-D415). It's pretty annoying. Was this review helpful to you?
I have had to order two replacement phones becuase after having the Nokia 1100 phones for about two weeks it begin dropping call anywhere you go. You also can't make of recieve calls and this last for weeks. You are going to have to keep getting replacement phones with Nokia 1100 and Cingular. Was this review helpful to you?
