I live on the corner of Los Feliz and Riverside and our reception sucks, with only 1 line or less. I'm now looking for one that works here. I'll try Verizon and see if that works. Was this review helpful to you?
AT&T Wireless (TDMA)
Phone calls not coming through and voicemails arriving hours late has left me homeless in major socal cities. I have to walk outside my apartment or school buildings anytime I want to have a useful conversation on the overpriced minutes I get. While I hear GSM gets clearer reception, the minutes are overpriced and the customer service sucks. Was this review helpful to you?
Well, I think Verizon is the only company that you get 1 or sometimes 2 bars when you're in the subway! Wow... so amazing. Such strong signals they have. Was this review helpful to you?
I switched from AT&T to Cingular because I was tired of a spending money on a carrier that didn't even get reception at my home. I was also told by Cingular that they were in the process of acquiring AT&T wireless and in doing so would be able to provide better service on a growing basis. What a load of crap! Not only do I no longer get reception at my home, I can't make a call with confidence. 9/10 times I get dropped. Not only is it frustrating, it is embarrassing. I don't care if I have to eat the cost of the phone and the break up. I am sick of this company. Was this review helpful to you?
I hate to admit this since I am sick of Sprint PCS customer service and ready to switch. While I am testing Cingular, Nextel at this location and Sprint PCS has the best reception. Was this review helpful to you?
Reception is okay on major streets, in the neighborhoods, it is spotty at best. Was this review helpful to you?
I can't maintain a conversation for more than a few minutes. A sustained conversation requires several repeated calls. Oversubscription is a likely suspect. Was this review helpful to you?
Pretty good. I switched from AT&T GSM which had crap reception on Sony Ericsson T68i. Around the rest of L.A. (particularly driving on freeways), there are spotty / dropout sections where I can always count on conversations taking a repetitive turn (for instance, in residential Santa Monica). But in Silver Lake, I can hold full, uninterrupted conversations while partaking in such rewarding activities as sitting, cooking, showering, etc.Was this review helpful to you?
AT&T Wireless (GSM)
Generally unpredictable and unreliable in home atop hill. Usually reflects full reception bars -- while not in use. Drops to one or two bars during calls. Often drops calls entirely. Wireless internet is often unavailable or when lucky, excessively slow. Was this review helpful to you?
Most of the distance from downtown LA to the 405 I never get any reception. Weird for such a populous area. Was this review helpful to you?
