MetroPCS is all around horrible. I have a ridiculous amount of dropped and missed calls. Horrible coverage indoors and outdoors... Would not recommend it to anyone

Verizon

Keeps dropping calls while indoors. Terrible considering Verizon seems to get such great reviews nationally.

AT&T

1 Out of 5 (1 star) | Columbia St. Torrance 90503 | Maple Ave., Torrance, CA 90503 |

No reception at the building I work in although I can physcially see a tower from the parking lot... must be a different carrier. I can say reception issues are very isolated to the location of my employer, half-way up the block reception is much better. Still worth a complaint though, calls are sketchy, data is super slow. You'd think ATT would fix this issue since we use them for a corporate phone carrier.

AT&T

Worst reception ever! Customer service reps are polite but situation stays the same so... .USELESS. CONSTANT dropped / choppy calls. TIME FOR A NEW CARRIER! Don't use AT&T if you live / work in the Torrance area. Nothing but headaches.

Sprint

I recently changed from AT&T to Sprint when the iPhone 5 came out. That was the worst choice I could have made. Sprint has the worst reception I have experienced in years! I have absolutely no reception at home and everyone is always telling me that they called but there are no missed calls on my phone. Any building I go in is pretty much one bar worthy. As for the Internet, it's extremely slow and so not worth their "unlimited Internet" advertisement. Unless you live in Texas, it's not even worth getting Sprint!

T-Mobile

Service with T-Mobile is an absolute nightmare. Reception is almost non-existent in or outside of my home. I can't even get a single bar to make an emergency call to my family. I would actually consider it a success if I'm able to obtain a single bar at all. I literally need to spend up to ten minutes moving from room to room, inside to outside, front yard to back yard, etc to get enough signal strength for the" emergency calls only" sign to go away long enough to place a call. And conversations need to be quick because the call is dropped in less than a minute. Im very unsatisfied with tmobile's wireless service. If you live in this area of long beach, I would look into another provider.

Verizon

I Work at Harbor UCLA, phone coverage has been really good anywhere in the hospital except in the basement. It works in the elevators as well. Data is another story, Pandora works good using the regular quality setting but tends to pause at times using the high quality setting. I haven't been successful watching videos from you-tube or Facebook, they only work for a few seconds then they pause and take a long time to load. One good thing though, I've always been able to get a data signal; although, its just not fast enough to handle the higher bit rates in audio and video streaming.

AT&T

Harbor Pines is an absolute dead zone for AT&T. I am constantly dropping calls in my home, on my way to work, and even at work in Palos Verdes. I was convinced it was my iPhone 4 even *with a case* so I tried out my buddy's Droid with no improvement. It pained me to pay an early termination fee so much that I even bought a $99 Microcell tower at the AT&T store to "improve" my reception with no luck and returned it. My 2 year contract is almost up and I'm changing carriers ASAP. The good news is that there are at least 2 other big carriers in the area that provide my neighbors with excellent coverage. Wish I knew that before I signed the contract before moving in.

The ATT map is a lie, I had to install a Microcell to get my multiple Iphones to work at all, and even then, ATT should have paid for the Microcell for their rotten service, but refused.
