Had AT&T for 5 years never had a problem. Moved to Downey, and consistantly get dropped calls and very very slow 3G data. There are parts that are barely ok to make and recieve calls but for the most part a lot of the areas simple just don't work.

I had Sprint for a few years, use to be great till mid summer of 2012. Now all I get when I'm at home is dropped calls, or goes directly to voice mail. Sprint keeps telling me that the cell tower on Lakewood Blvd.and Cherry are down for repairs. I ordered the modem, hoping to get this week.

Sprint is okay, the connection fluctuates, most of the time it's 3-4 bars rarely 5 but some days it drops to 1-2 and I can hardly get anything. A couple of my friends have Verizon, and from what I'm aware of, there data speeds are much much faster than mine. When I go to Disneyland, my connection, well, sucks to put it in a nice way. I have an iPhone 4S with Sprint, and will get the iPhone 5 with Verizon at the start of 2013 since Sprint doesn't have 4G LTE in the whole West Coast. One of the major factors that make me want Sprint over anything else, is the unlimited data, since I'm a teenager, I go through data speeds faster than any other person I know, but it's just too slow sometimes...

ATT reception is virtually no existent in the Fullerton area. We cannot routinely make or receive cell phone calls because of no reception. Weak reception in the surrounding house area causes calls to be dropped. Voice mail messages are received hours after missed calls due to reception, even when phone is in service. fully charged. ATT map rates Fullerton area receprion as Good.

Absolutely horrble reception in Downey. I even have trouble sending text messages. I will get rid of my contract as soon as it expires and probably sign with Verizon. Everyone who I call always complains that my phone does not work. I have had enough. Apparently the new tower did not change much at all.

Reception with AT&T has always been shoddy in the SIgnal Hill areas because of the hills and proximity to the airport. Calls are always broken up depending on where you are walking or driving on the hill. I'm glad that the iphone is now available with Verizon.

I've had Sprint for about 8 years now and for the most part they've been a good company for me, including customer service (especially at 6 am in the morning). I live in a very large complex in this area. I've never gotten good reception within the complex, but I've noticed the past 3 weeks reception within this whole area has been poor to none. My calls are now dropping and I practically have to drive more than a mile away in any direction to even make, let lone receive a call. I've also notice that voice messages and text aren't coming through until hours later. Not sure what's going on, but my contract is up in Nov and if I don't see any improvements, I may need to switch carriers.
