This is my 3rd phone with cingular, I can't get reception in any building... not my home, office, hang outs... no enclosed building. And I drop many calls throughout the area even when I am outside! I can't wait until my contract is upWas this review helpful to you?
Often lose calls when inside house (1 bar maximum when there is reception). Subpar reception (1 to 2 bars) outside with "cell phone garbel" during discussions. Generally good reception and quality elsewhere. Was this review helpful to you?
i have had three different phones from Cingular in this area. no matter what phone I have it always has horiable reception. I have called Cingular and complained for the last 3 years and they still have not done anything to fix it. I am always dropping calls (fewest call dropped my ass) and I only have one to 0 bars at all times. I keep calling 611 and they keep telling me that it will be fix soon. (Its been 3 years!) if anyone from Cingular is reading this I hope that you can finally fix thismassive problemWas this review helpful to you?
Maybe it is the model of phone but some times I have no bars. Was this review helpful to you?
Reception is one bar downstairs and three bars upstairs in a two story residential home. In the last month I've noticed a lot of dropped calls. I previously had a cell phone with a pull up antenna and never had a dropped call. Was this review helpful to you?
Reception is usually excellent all over, inside and out: 4 or 5 bars. Just once in awhile, oddly (like right now), reception drops out altogether. It's like the Dish TV going blank when there's a solar eclipse only I can't think of a single reason for cellphone reception to erratically bonk out in a stationary place that has normally good coverage. Was this review helpful to you?

Reception is good in this area. Very few, if any, dropped calls. I had Cingular (Nokia 3360) in this area and the reception was a joke. On average I could only make calls 1 out of every 4 attempts or less. Cingular has great plans but the coverage is awful and and waste of money. I now have Sprint through work (Balckberry phone) and the coverage is only fair. Calls are dropped about 40% of the time. Verizon is a good carrier but they do seem to charge for just about anything they can possibly think of.Was this review helpful to you?
Cingular reception has gone to hell after the 64K smartchip forced upgrade with ENS. Horrible. Cannot place a call, and received calls are dropped. Will have 5 bars, then try to place a call, and then the call will never be placed, and the bars will drop to zero. Ridiculous. Was this review helpful to you?
Spint sucks. What else can I say? It is sometimes maddening not getting reception when a business related call comes in VIA my cell and I have to drive a couple miles away from home just to get a voice message. A couple people have noted that I cant talk longer than 4-5 minues with them before my phone starts breaking up. This has been going on for a couple years. I thought by swithing phones that this may work to use a cell. NOPE. I get the urge more and more to throw my phone out the window of my jeep after another lost call.
